About
Situated just a few minutes from Muskegon, Stonegate Golf Club in Stone Lake sprawls across gently rolling hills that are surrounded by the beauty of the Manistee National Forest. The undulating terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that can give you a different round every time you play. Although there are residences bordering the golf course, it still feels completely secluded thanks to the sheltering trees and pristine natural setting that is accented with marshes and ponds. The golf course has a variety of greens, most are slightly raised and some are open in front while others have slopes and bunkers protecting them. The putting surfaces roll true with only a few mild undulations. Stonegate's fairways can be tricky since they’re lined with mature pines and hardwoods and more often than not you’ll find one or more bunkers guarding the most opportune landing areas.

Everything that could go right. Was as close to perfect as you could ask for.
Up North Feel
It’s a fun course. Tricky, fast greens. Seems like you are farther up north playing the course. It would be cool if the par 3s were more challenging, like 180 + yards, or hitting from elevated tee.
I will definitely go off blue tees next time.
Nice greens
Speed on the greens was good. Course was in great condition. Always a nice place to play.
Now THIS is a golf course
British Open-style growth past the rough. Thick but playable rough. Nice greens roll true. Didn't play out of bunkers but they look well worked. Nice staff in pro shop. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Birthday Round
It’s always a pleasure to go play Stonegate it’s always in great shape. I love going their. I would recommend you go play it’s a hide gem. It’s gives you a Little bit of thing elevation, big greens that are slope. Beautiful scenery.
Stonegate does not disappoint
Stonegate is one of my favorite courses in the Muskegon area and this round did not disappoint.
I booked my tee time for one but joined 3 course members on the first hole and they couldn’t have been nicer. Course was in great shape fairways and greens in mid season shape.
Best for the price
A great layout in the woods that is worth the money. Perfect? No but a fantastic course for its middle of the road pricing
