About
Situated just a few minutes from Muskegon, Stonegate Golf Club in Stone Lake sprawls across gently rolling hills that are surrounded by the beauty of the Manistee National Forest. The undulating terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that can give you a different round every time you play. Although there are residences bordering the golf course, it still feels completely secluded thanks to the sheltering trees and pristine natural setting that is accented with marshes and ponds. The golf course has a variety of greens, most are slightly raised and some are open in front while others have slopes and bunkers protecting them. The putting surfaces roll true with only a few mild undulations. Stonegate's fairways can be tricky since they’re lined with mature pines and hardwoods and more often than not you’ll find one or more bunkers guarding the most opportune landing areas.

New favorite
First time on a whim. Glad we did. Very nice. Great shape and the layout was very good and challenging to boot. Staff was friendly and food was great. Headed back in a week or so.
Excellent shape for November!
Wife and I are actually still playing and I got the review. Come up very fast yeah of course is an excellent shape. Good job with the leaf leaves and the greens are rolling. Good. They’ve been aired a bit of small air rate in the greens are rolling. good tea boxes are excellent and overall just enjoyable day November 6 Thursday about 50° with very little wind probably probably one last few few days out but we’re gonna play as long as they’re open Quite a good bargain here again 56 bucks for two of us on a Thursday afternoon on GolfNow
Foookn awesome
This is the second nicest course I’ve played. I’ve played Arcadia, all boynes yada yada… but what makes this course so great is it’s up north feel but priced like a dump course and maintained like the club at harbor shores. even better! I will be back I’ve been looking for a standout course near where I’m working and this course did not disappoint!
Golfing at its best
This course is a hidden gem. The course is always in fantastic shape and it’s a fun course to play.. I usually get here at least three or four times a year if it wasn’t so far, I would play it more!

Nice course!
IMO this course is more fun than Pilgrim's Some greens have a lot of ball marks. But greens are fast and have some tough undulations. We had a great time.
Hidden Gem
One of the best courses in west Michigan for the money. Fantastic condition, tricky greens and great atmosphere.
West Michigan's best!!
If only other courses had the quality of turf and layout that is Stonegate. What an amazingly well kept gem!! The superintendent and his crew put other courses to shame, even some private clubs. Keep up the great grounds keeping, as it really makes playing a joy.
The layout is great, and feels like one of the big "up North" courses, with plenty of variation between red, white, blue, and black tees to make the course play as difficult as you wish.
There isn't a more enjoyable track to play in West Michigan.
