Out of towner
Drove an hour to meet up with a buddy and it was worth the trip.
A few hidden ravines got us where the needed carry was more than you could tell from where we were hitting from. Would like to give it another shot know where to be and more importantly where not to be.
Best Fall Golf In The Area
Course still in tremendous shape for this late in the season. Best fall golf in the area by far.
Great play
This is a very good course to play. Course is in great shape for this time of the year greens are fast and have lot of adulation on greens. Course you stay underneath the hole because you don’t want to have to put down hill on these greens. Because you make it hard for you two putt. Please put this on your bucket list.
5 groups on 10th hole, Where’s the old snotty ranger?
Now twice in a week, slow play. A 4 some on 10th green, fairway and 3 groups on tee!!
Played front twice. Where’s the old snotty ranger?
Something has to be done. Is Marty still there haven’t seen her.
Course great just not manages well.
Old faart ranger jerk on 18th hole, otherwise 5 stars
We played this course probably at least a half a dozen times last year because the pricing was so good and it is a fantastic course. Don’t get me wrong. It was a young PGA professional girl who worked here last year. I did not see her here this year and named Marty, I believe, but we finally got a decent rate of $65 for two of us on tee off.com on Thursday, September 20 I believe it was
Courses in fantastic shape. The greens are fast and true. Everything was good except we got to the 18th and this old jerk ranger comes out and I was sitting 3 to 5 feet off the cart path and he started yelling at me instead of saying hey thanks for coming out today how did you have a great round nice day huh? Could you just please park your car on the path? I know it’s the 18th hole I’m just starting here. It’s 3 o’clock in the afternoon and I just wanna ruin your day .
Supposedly this is the friendliest course in the country number six or something like that but this guy just ruined that so whoever you got to do that, do you know who is the guy that does not have any customer skills
Awesome course. We will be playing again.
Got this on a hot deal for 50. Awesome course for that price. This is the best course in the Muskegon area.
Westside gem
My wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much of this new course. Layout is great, holes pretty much are alone from the others all the way thru. Course in great shape despite recent rain storms. Great course if you are on the west side of Michigan.
Nice layout, otherwise just fair.
First time playing this course and was a bit disappointed. The course layout is really nice, and very challenging. Requires course management and technical accuracy on a lot of holes. Scenery was nice when we played it in the summer, but is probably even nicer in the fall.
Outside of the layout, however, there wasn't a lot to recommend it.
There was no starter and no marshal, and between that and the difficult nature of the layout, the pace of play was maybe the worst I've ever experienced. The course was dry and the greens still uneven. Green speeds varied a lot across holes. No beverage/snack cart seen and limited offerings on site. No gps on carts, and only tiny overview of holes on the scorecard.
For the money, I'll probably go elsewhere, but if you can find a quiet day and are looking for a challenge then maybe this is a good option for you.
Green are not good, yet.
A group of 4 of us played on Friday April 28th. The course was in good shape except for the greens. Every green was patchy and the ball just bounced around. It made putting a nightmare. This is a really good course but for the money, skip it till later in the season.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Stonegate Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
