Indian Ridge Golf Club
About
Located just a few miles south of Oxford, Indian Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside sprinkled with walnut and cedar trees. It's the only course around for miles, making it the default favorite for local golfers but it's also popular for the affordable rates. The location provides peaceful seclusion as well as idyllic scenery. The golf course has a classic design with plenty of variety, giving it appeal for players of all skill levels. Water hazards and bunkers come into play throughout the course, often making for difficult approaches. Indian Ridge Golf Club stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are some holes that will please long hitters and risk-reward opportunities that will test advanced players, but the design is still player friendly enough for high handicappers.

Indian Ride
Greens were fast and hard. Sand needs work. Back side considerably more of a challenge.
Nice course.
Great course, great value
This course has historically fast greens which take some getting used to. Sand traps are currently bare and under reconstruction. Staff is friendly and helpful in every way.
Seen big improvements
I have played this course over the years, since the beginning, and its nice to see it worth playing again. Its getting there. I will go back.
Back From the Dead!!
What a difference a few months and some serious commitment can make. The course known as Indian Ridge has come back to life. The imposter course known by the same name over the past several years is officially dead!!
The greens were in absolutely superb condition.....fast and true. The fairways, with the exception of a patch here and there, were more than acceptable. Tee boxes were good as well.
Staff was very friendly and were "all in" on the process of fully restoring Indian Ridge. There were at least 5 workers on the course restoring bunkers-a project which has already restored a significant number on the course.
The course was very playable and an exceptional bargain for the price that I paid on Golf Now. I will be returning over and over again.
Decent course
Greens and fairways were fast. Sand traps were dirt. Hard as concrete.
pleasent surprised at how far course has come!!
I have played this course many times in recent year but had stayed away for the last few years due to the deteriorating course conditions. I had heard that new management had taken over the course and was actually working on getting the course back in playing shape. I was skeptical of what I had read and heard about the course because this has change management several times and there was no improvement in the course. The course was pretty wet when I played which was expected due to the amount of rain we had in recent days but the overall condition of the course has vastly improved from the last time I played. The greens and fairways were in the great shape. I have always enjoyed playing here due to the unique style and am glad that someone is bringing the course back to it original form. The only negative is that most of the bunkers are not playable but you can see that they are working to get them fixed and playable. Kudos to the new management and I will defiantly be back soon.
Big Improvements!
Played 7-3-15 and since I played there 6 weeks ago they have made big improvements! Greens were really nice and rolled true. Fairways were in good shape. They still have bunkers to replace but overall the course is looking good! Service is excellent and everyone there wants you to know they appreciate your business. Give Indian Ridge another try.
Wow! It's all new!
I played here a couple times a year every year up till 2013.At that point, the course was so bad I quit going. Went back this year because I heard there was new management, and I was not disappointed. The fairways and greens were in GREAT shape. You can tell there are improvements going on all over the course. I am going to make this one of my regular stops. If you played here when the course was not being taken care of, you'll be blown away. Clubhouse is great also.
Coming Back To Its Glory...
Played this course recently with some friends and was amazed at the how far this course has come. Its evident that the new ownership group has made it a priority to get this course back to its glory. Challenging layout yet fair to all levels of golfers. The back nine is as picturesque as it gets in this region. Staff was very professional and I look forward to playing this track in the near future.
WOW!!!!
I love this course and the staff is incredible..... The new owners of this gem of a course have done an amazing job starting the process of bringing the Ridge back to its prime...definitely worth it to get back out there and play.....
New Ownership - great turnaround so far!
Played today for the first time in over a year. Course had deteriorated greatly in past two years. However, it is under new ownership and in just a short time they are making a very strong comeback. The greens were in as good a condition as I have ever seen them in all the many years the course has been there. Fairways and tee boxs were in very good shape. The only issue for now is that all 50+ bunkers are under repair. In talking with one of the owners he said that it will take this summer to get the bunkers playable. But the rest of the course was very nice and is only going to get better. In talking with the pro there, who is very friendly and professional, they know what they are doing. In time, I believe Indian Ridge will be one of the premier course to play in this area. I encourage those who have never played to start and those who left because of the past conditions return. It is a very good course to play and is only going to get better.
Fun course, lots of work being done to make it better
I played 18 as a single in just under 3 hours, and that included playing through 3 groups. Playing from the White tees, it's a short and fun course. Or you can play it longer from the tips.
As other recent reviews have said, it's run down in some areas but they're working to make it better. The bunkers that have been repaired look great (better than any other Cincy courses, outside of the county parks), and most of the greens have issues with crabgrass around the perimeter but still playable while they make repairs.
Someone said the new owners switched 15/18, and I don't think apps like GolfShot have caught up with that change yet.
I will definitely be back this year, and expect that it'll be in pristine condition by the start of next season.
Much Better
Everything is greatly improved over the last few years except the bunkers and they are working on them. Glad to see this course bounce back.
Worth a look again.
I just wanted to echo some of the recent more positive reviews of this course. Indian Ridge was always a favorite until it fell into disrepair and we stopped playing there. My buddy and I decided to play it again this year after hearing the course had new owners. Although the course still has some rough spots, a definite commitment to improve the course can be seen. Fairways are in pretty good shape. The greens were decent but need some work. There is plan to refurbish/rehabilitate the traps and that is underway. They are building a new retaining pond near 14 which presumably will help keep the course irrigated during July and August when the course tended to burn out. Also saw new tractor/mowers, new/newer golf carts, and new boxes for water coolers. Played there twice this month, both times in 3 hours or under. Indian Ridge is definitely worth playing again. I give it two stars for now but based on what I've seen I would expect the condition of the course to continue to improve.
what an improvement over last year
Played the course today with a couple co-worker's .. WOW !! .. I couldn't believe how much better the course was this year then the last couple years.. The fairways and rough were 100% better and the greens are coming back to the "the good ole days" .. The sand bunkers are still under construction, but overall the course is good.. I would (for the first time in 5 yrs) recommend this course to friends... The staff was very friendly as well...
Indian ridge
I was very impressed with what the new owners have accomplished thus far. Although the bunkers needed some work (needed drained and new sand) the course was in much better shape than what I remember it. Last year I told myself I wouldn't return to Indian ridge but I read it was under new ownership so I decided I would see if they had made any changes. The fairways were in great shape a lot better than I remember. $20 for 18 is a way better deal than Hueston woods overpriced course. I will definitely play this course more this year!
Oh and hurry up and get your liquor license, I wanted a beer! Lol
Course Improves
Played there last year and the course was awful. Heard the course was bought and reopened a couple of weeks ago. Played the course this past week and wow what a difference. Fairway, tees and greens were very nice and the rough was mowed. The customer service was very good, the guy at the counter explained they had new owners and were improving the golf course. He was correct, he also explained that the bunkers were very bad and they had fixed 5 of the 58. They are trying to fix a couple bunkers each week and by the end of the summer they will be good again. I would recommend giving these guys another chance, you won't be disappointed.
Neglected course
I have played there a few years back. The course has been neglected. Bunkers were unplayable the fairways looked like the rough and most of the green were bare. I will not play there again . If I could do a show save my golf course this would be on top of the list.
Field to play golf....
The first hole was ok... you could actually tell where the fairway started and stopped. I was actually excited to play the course, as it is fairly close to work and school (more golf time!). But the course is horrible, and not well maintained. The bunkers are full of water and weeds, no sand. The fairways were cut... but indistinguishable. The rough was cut, but full of clumps of grass and the bugs were horrible. The greens were pretty depressing. I thought about actually leaving... and I was only playing 9.
If you're looking for a place to just hit a ball... Indian Ridge is great or you could just go to field.
Complete Joke
Do Not play there!! Fairways where higher than any rough I've been in. Greens where burnt. Course looks like it hasn't been cut all year. Looks like @ one time it was a nice course but that was many many moons ago. Do not waste your time or money!! I personally can't believe that golf now would even allow this course on their site!!!!
Seth, thanks so much for taking the time to rate our golf course. Sorry that someone at the counter didn't inform you of our bunker renovation. We have renovated 44 of the 54 bunkers so far and have put in 1500 tons of sand. We will have the other ten bunkers completed by the end of this year or the first of next. Thanks
