Indian Ridge Golf Club
About
Located just a few miles south of Oxford, Indian Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside sprinkled with walnut and cedar trees. It's the only course around for miles, making it the default favorite for local golfers but it's also popular for the affordable rates. The location provides peaceful seclusion as well as idyllic scenery. The golf course has a classic design with plenty of variety, giving it appeal for players of all skill levels. Water hazards and bunkers come into play throughout the course, often making for difficult approaches. Indian Ridge Golf Club stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are some holes that will please long hitters and risk-reward opportunities that will test advanced players, but the design is still player friendly enough for high handicappers.

This course is in bad shape!!!!!
The course use to be in great shape years ago. This year was the first time I've been there and it was VERY disappointing. Greens were burnt up, fairways were uncut. Another golfer told me the bank took there mowers and they were about to lose the course. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
This course is reasonably challenging
Indian Ridge has many nice holes with different looks and elevations. It is a challenging but fun course for a senior player. The setting is very good for a course that is a little bit hilly especially on the back nine. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good shape, but the rough was full of weeds and could be better maintained. The short cart paths could use some filling in of potholes and uneven cart-driving areas. Good value overall and I plan to play it again soon.
Good course lay out, needs a grounds keeper, has been neglected since it opening.
The green's and fairways are in fair conditions, the sand traps are abandoned and not fit for playing.
Poor condition
Grass had not been cut. Sand traps were full of weeds and no sand. Weeds were growing in the fairway and the rough was all clover and impossible to find your golf ball.
Course is currently in awful shape
For the price and convenience only, I recommend this course. The a/c in the club house has been broke all summer (I feel bad for the employees ) the ball washers have any kind of liquid in them, just mud and brushes, and the place is covered in clover, even the fairways. This place is 5 miles from my house or I wouldn't play here. This used to be a decent course a few years ago but it's pathetic now. Some of the rough was over 6" long so if you weren't in the fairway you lost your ball. They need to do something or sadly, this course is going to go under soon. If I can get on for less than $20 I go here, but if it's more than that I'd rather go to any of the surrounding courses.
Poor conditions
Fairways had weeds and dead grass everywhere. Almost every bunker had standing water. Greens were ate up with ball marks. Used to love this course, looks like they've just let it go.
Could not find shots in the "fairway"
I have played this course at least 25 times of the past 3 years. This is the worse condition that I have seen this course in. I usually play this course as a single because of the low price and not many golfers on the course during the week. Most of the fairways had either high grass of it had recently been mowed leaving bunches of cut grass piled up. Move weeds then grass in the rough and on tee boxes. Many greens had large bare spots. Little or no sand in traps. I won't be back any more this year.
greens very hard
greens not in good shape. extremely hard to hold a shot. not much grass on greens
Jim the manager is RUDE
2nd time in a year we have gone there using golfnow and Jim the manager berates us stating the course is worth more. If Jim,mgr, has a problem with golfnow, he needs to take it up with golfnow, not the customers. By the way, course wasn't worth half the $17 we paid. If you want to play at a GOAT RANCH and have PATHETIC customer service, Indian Ridge is the place for you.
Customer Service is terrible!
This is the second year in a row that we booked our tee time on golfnow.com for this course. And this is the second year that we were giving a difficult time by the GM Jim b/c our rate was lower than he would have liked. Um, its not our fault you advertised a low rate!! His attitude was terrible. The course condition was terrible and the low rate we paid was more than I would have paid if I knew what we were getting. Also, we arrived early but were not allowed to get our golf cart (even though 4 were sitting there) b/c they "may" need them for other golfers who were before us....only one foursome went off before us and they already had a cart. The excuse we were given by Jim was that the carts were charging. I have to say, I am very disappointed and do not plan to return.
It is moderate.
It is not well maintained but cost is reasonable range.
Average or below
The service was poor and the course fairways and tee boxes were in poor shape compared to other course in the area. It used to be much nicer.
Find a different course!
In really poor shape. On many holes it was hard to tell the difference between the fairway and rough. Greens had tons of damage and tee boxes were mauled. Trash was piled up on several holes and to top things off they told me when i checked in that all the carts were having charging issues so i might run out of juice and would need to call them when/if it stopped. Well guess what, it ran out on hole 12. Overall I would definitely not recommend this course as there are many other worthy options in the Cincy area at the same or lower price.
value for the money
Played 07/28 great weather conditions. Wide open fairways. However, don't hit your ball into the tall grass. You'll never find it. Front nine was enjoyable. The back nine could use some work on the back to back yes I said back to back par 5's. Greens in very good shape. Can't comment fairly on the bunkers due to recent rain. Lets just say lateral hazards helped my.score lol. Overall very enjoyable course that surprisingly wasn't busy.
Nice course but needs work
I played this course during an above average wet summer so you would expect the grass to be lush and full. The fairways were in very poor condition. It was not an advantage if you kept the ball in the fairway. The grass was sparce and there were many bare spots on most fairways. I normally enjoy playing this course but was disapointed the last time there. The sandtraps have very little sand in them. The day I played, there was standing water in every trap.
Not bad for a late day quick track
I was sitting on the couch at home and decided to look at gold now at about 3pm. Say 18 holes riding for $8 and gave it a chance. Played a quick 18 holes in 2 hours. Pretty easy course. Shot a 74 and didn't think I hit the ball that well.
Unfortunately, this course doesn't have the resources to keep it well maintained. Greens were alright but fairways were mush everywhere.
good value
This course was in decent shape. Fairways need a little work. Greens in very good shape. Great value
Fun place to play for the price
We played here last year and it was dry from the hot summer they had,
Came back this year and found this place a lot of fun, Course is much better then last year. Found out about the daily deals they have, Are you kidding me, WOW, Mondays they feed you a dog and drink at lunch included for $25, Wed. $20 bucks with cart. Yes there can be things done to this course but for a open to the public course, I could not think of a better place for the price and location in SW Ohio. I say give them a shot and play them. I will be back often.....
Great course!
The course was in good condition. The staff was friendly and courteous.
It's a cow pasture
Was not kept up very well. There were no fairways to speak of and the greens were in bad shape. Would not play there again.
Was in excellent condition 10 yrs ago when Mark Moore took over as superintendant. He is the former super of Walden Ponds. Has not been neglected since opening, just past few years. Some people shouldn't post if they don't know what they are talking about!!
