Indian Ridge Golf Club
About
Located just a few miles south of Oxford, Indian Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside sprinkled with walnut and cedar trees. It's the only course around for miles, making it the default favorite for local golfers but it's also popular for the affordable rates. The location provides peaceful seclusion as well as idyllic scenery. The golf course has a classic design with plenty of variety, giving it appeal for players of all skill levels. Water hazards and bunkers come into play throughout the course, often making for difficult approaches. Indian Ridge Golf Club stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are some holes that will please long hitters and risk-reward opportunities that will test advanced players, but the design is still player friendly enough for high handicappers.

Playable
Course was in good shape and very playable. Greens well kept and so were the fairways and tee boxes.
The back 9 is fulll of fun and challenging holes
We play here about once a month in the summer. We like the course a lot. The front nine is fun, but a little easier than the back. There is even a drivable par 4 over the lake. But the carry might make you rethink your drive.
Great Course
I love Indian Ridge. The grounds are well kept and the greens are challenging.
One of Better Layouts in State
Great hilly layout with modern undulating greens. Always enjoy Brian Huntley golf course and Indian Ridge is no exception. Should be on best in Ohio public course lists, but past condition problems have held it back.
Best course in the area and a must play for the Ohio public golfer.
Beautiful Day on the Reservation
One of the overall best golf experiences in this part of Ohio. Jasper Hills Golf Club up by Xenia is just as good, but for those not willing to drive that far, Indian Ridge Golf Club is extremely under-priced for the quality of course conditions. The staff is among the friendliest. Sure, it can be a little slow, due to the popularity, but it is worth the drive and time spent with friends, creating memories, if not the occasional great shot!
Great Golf Experience
I play about 60 rounds a season and have traveled all over the country with my clubs. Indian Ridge is one of my favorite courses to play. Conditions are phenomenal and the course design and layout create a great experience. The staff is friendly and unpretentious. At Indian Ridge, you feel appreciated versus TOLERATED. Pro Shop and restaurant is very mediocre. The pace of play can be very slow, especially on weekends when the college students are back. Generally speaking, they can be inconsiderate and don't show a lot of course etiquette. But when you consider the cost, this course is a great value.
Unfortunately no courses utilize rangers to attempt to keep pace of play.. I experienced the worse pace in my 20 plus years of golfing.. Tee boxes stacked two groups deep. People hitting multiple balls on every shot.. Course is traditionally slow but hit a new low
Slow play
Booked a twosome that was paired with another pair. On the second hole they asked to split, because they wanted to smoke and listen to music. Got stuck behind a foursome that weren’t playing slow but not with a twosome on their rear. They finally let us through; however at the turn played slowed to a crawl. Waited on every tee and on a couple of tees we had three groups waiting. First really bad experience.
Sandtrap
Chose to play here because of the 56 bunkers.
My home courses hardly have any bunkers so wanted to play a course with lots.
While this course may have lots of bunkers I only found myself playing out of 1 bunker thru 18 holes. An it was the first hole. The bunkers are not so much in play hardly and unless you’re bombing it’s 300+ each time you won’t have to worry about reaching fairway bunkers.
Slow
Course was in good shape, but pace of play was brutal. Called in to clubhouse twice and talked to ranger on course once. They did nothing. 5+ hrs and had to quit on 17 due to massive downpour. Several times there were 4 groups on a single hole and I saw a 6-some driving up 18 right before we got rained out. Could be a nice place to play, but I won't be back.
