About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Golfer Reviews
Lack of grass all over entire course not worth the price.
Course is usually busy and slow they should have drinking water really no excuse for that
No Disappointments here.
Great golf experience top to bottom. The course was fun and challenging with a beautiful layout and great conditions. Greens were firm and fast. Just loved it. Pace was a bit slow bc there was a tournament running but cleared out on the back nine.
Good course BUT!
1252 tee time didn't get out till 135, not enough cart, how can a course that pushes that many people through everyday not have enough carts! 2nd time this happened. They book for 7 min between tee times, and don't have enough carts. Then hole #4 always a back up, there were 4 4somes waiting to tee off when we pulled up and no Marshall on the course. This just backs up the rest of the 1st nine. Course is in good shape, but 5 and a half hours for 18 is to much. If yohr willing g to play slow and not tee of on time give it a go.
Pace of play
Needs a Marshall on the course to speed up play.
Not a good idea to let a single and twosomes play separately when it’s busy. Please combine players. Will be a perfect golf experience.
Tight course
Be prepared to have balls flying in all directions. We have played here several times but this week was especially “dangerous”. No one is yelling “fore” and balls are flying. It could have been the day where there were more high handicappers on the course.
The greens were terrible
The workers have no humility. The entire experience was sub par no pun intended
Very slow pace of play and poor green conditions
Round took over 5 hours due in big part to five and six golfers being allowed to play in several tee time groupings. Greens not well maintained.
Nice course, friendly staff
Clearwater course is a very nice course, with a good layout and nice mix of hole layouts and lengths.
Staff and other golfers aways seem friendly, creating a nice atmosphere.
