About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Staff no show
I had 2, Dec 28th, 8 o'clock tee times for Clearwater. Weather was a little drizzly but not bad enough that I wouldn't go out.. We arrived at the course at 7:40; 20 min. before our tee time, only to find the whole facility locked down. No staff on sight! We waited about 45 minutes and still no staff. Finally around 8:20 I deciding to call Golfnow/Tee off.com to cancel my 2 Tee times. This wasn't the easiest task either. I had difficulty reaching a human assistant to deal with a cancellation. Upon reaching somebody I was put on hold while they apparently tried to call the course to confirm nobody was there. After several minutes on hold the attendant came back online and told me they couldn't reach anybody at the course. No kidding I had just told them there was nobody there. Hoping that I get credit or refund for the 2 tee times that were booked.
Was a pretty decent course
Played in 5-20 mph winds and still shot ok only flaw was white tee boxes were very beat and uneven
Great value
Fun little course that is usually in good shape for the price. It can be slow during season, as are pretty much all the courses around here.
Clearwater golf
Great course. Lots of long par 4,s. Gateways and greed in great shape. Rough needs attention.
Lots of streets around the perimeter
I'll be careful when driving by the course now that I see how easy drives can end up on the street for less experienced golfers. Once you can straighten out your drive, the course plays great.
The course was interesting and fun to play.
This was the first time in serveral years that I played the course. I found the course very interesting and fun to play. The course was in very good condition.
Marshall
Marshalls need to hurry up slow players that stack up the course. Saw Marshall's driving around but not doing anything about slow play.
Pleasant but not exciting or fast
Decent course but not inspiring. Quite dangerous at some points and pace of play could have been better.
If you didn’t have some local company like us it could have been difficult and dangerous.
Lucky we were paired with two nice guys.
First visit, would play again
I liked the course as a newcomer. It is mostly wide open with some water (not much of a problem) and bunkers which were avoidable. Pretty flat except for 2-3 holes. I would like to play here again on my next visit to the area.
