About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

reasonable price good pace of play
I have played this course a number of times and this round the pace of play was swift however i have been at this course when play was painfully slow 5hr 15 min round .buy generally a good course...
Fun round
Really enjoyed this vacation round of golf. It was really friendly for the wives in the group.
Nice tee boxes and greeens
Enjoyed the pace of play, the only bad thing is you have to wait for a cart
Overbooked
We had a 130 tee time, checked in at 110 and paid our fees. We walked outside only to find they were out of carts and at least an hour behind. We wouldn't have had time to play all 18. We got a refund. It was unprofessional of the clerk checking us in to not tell us they were out of carta and an hour behind. Very disappointed
Course was fine. Only issue was the course was absolutely packed and we waited on every hole. Also we had a threesome and the starter made us take on a single after we had said no we didn’t want to play with another person.
Course was in great condition
Front 9 greens were different than the back 9. Seems like they’re nearing the end of reviving the front 9 greens and were a little slow. Back 9 greens were perfect and pretty fast. Fairways and tee boxes were in good condition. Overall, neat little course with lots of scoring opportunities and not a ton of trouble
Back 9 greens much better.
Greens on the front 9 were like a $15 course, greens on the back were like a $100 course, not sure why there was such a big difference.
Great weather
It’s hard to complain when your able to golf on December 5th in shorts and t-shirt. I’ve been wanting to play this course and finally got the opportunity unfortunately I forgot to bring a golf swing but it did not stop me from enjoying the day and the course. The front 9 is very tight, narrow, and congested. Make sure to be very alert and aware of your surroundings (don’t get hit by a hacker!) tee boxes were in great shape, fairways in good shape, front 9 greens not good, back 9 greens good shape. I’m not sure anyone fixes their divots, but that’s not the courses fault their golfers can’t splurge a buck on a divot tool. Just a peeve of mine! I will play this course again hopefully on a weekday when it’s less crowded
Easy track -- give yourself a break
Golfers moved along quickly at the somewhat tight, but pretty short course. Not alot of danger, except from other golfers on some holes -- protected by tall chain link fence. I chipped under one on the par 3 sixth. I enjoyed not being overly challenged or frighthened with danger.
