About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Golfer Reviews
A Good Day on The Golf Course
The course is in fair condition for this time of the year. Its a good old course that could use some updates but overall was fun. The staff was great. I was paired with some members that were great and fun to play with. I will play it again when the weather gets better and compare.
Solid Course
Decent public golf club. Range was not the best but the course was forgiving and the greens were perfect. Staff were very friendly. Seems like the course gets a lot of play. Locals said to avoid afternoon tee times as things really slow down. Good value if booked on the GN app.
Awesome Renovation
Course was in great shape - tee boxes, greens, and fairways were wonderful. The only issue is the slow play but it is the winter weekend. Could use Rangers to speed it along.
Tight Fairways but Great Conditions
Played here for the first time and the course was in great condition minus the rough, which winter time in Florida is not very good for. Never had any pace of play issues the whole round.
My only gripe, when I walked up I had 15 minutes before my tee time. I was going to warm up with a few swings on the range close to hole 1, but the starter caught me and said “I have you with the two some on the first tee box right now check in and get up there quick I have 3 foursomes behind you”. Of course I then rushed and had to hit my first tee shot not more than 5 minutes after walking up to the Pro Shop. I should have said, “no I’d like to go at my tee time” but first time here I didn’t want to argue.
Great course, small greens, one front desk staff member sucks.
Great experience, nice course. Fast greens. Front desk staff member is the worst person I’ve ever spoken to at a golf course/country club.
Greens in great shape.
Played here a couple of years ago. Course seemed nicer than I remembered. Have to get used to chipping off tight lies.
Great Day
Teed off at 7:30 AM. Everything great with nice layout & good conditions. Pace of play was good as single between 2 foursomes. Hit some extra approach shots, chips, & putts. Beautiful weather. I recommend course as believe great value. Was worried about some previous reviews but play here several time a year & as usual not disappointed.
