Clearwater Country Club
About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

CCC
Nice, old times layout and track 👣, home to the famous John Daley, I heard. Tight fairways, greens are very slow but well maintained.
We flew through, non season, on a Tuesday. Enjoyed the clubhouse conversation with Annie, she was a hoot, worth the price of admission (and a couple Chardonnays).
Excellent course and great value
Played for the first time, we will be back. Paired with two guys from Canada living in the US. We had a good time.
Overpriced
Greens were nicely kept. Fairways not so much. Course is tight with each hole on top of another. And every hole is the same — straight. Many times people were hitting off my fairway back onto theirs because the course is so tight. The course is average, but that’s why it’s so overpriced. $100 for a round is too much. Better off going to Heritage, Links, Mangrove. Cheaper and better course.
Good round of golf
Little confused at # 14 /15/16.... and caution is definitely required....
Great Value for a public course.
I played a morning round, and the pace of play was great. Greens and around the greens were in very good shape 9/10. Tee boxes 8/10. Fairways definitely could use work, but didn’t impede play too much 6/10.
Overall good value for a city-run course. I’d definitely play again.
Early April round
Greens were immaculate
Excellent pace of play
Tee boxes need work
New sand in bunkers is excellent- very consistent hole to hole
Greens in good shape
Despite the dry conditions this course is in pretty good shape for a non private course

Great course. We enjoyed it very much. Greens in great shape.
Very challenging especially with wind conditions
Course was in good shape. Greens were especially challenging. But, greens were true.
Rain would help
Drought is hurting everywhere. That being said, course was in pretty decent shape considering. The 5 some 4 groups ahead that should have broken into a 3 and 2 some to speed play up made 18 holes last 5.5 hours. We were three groups deep on the 5th tee box. Marshall should have broken the 5 some up or made them leave. Ordered a hot dog and 3 cold beverages at the turn and that took 10 minutes for a nuked hotdog! Order ahead. Otherwise, would play again.
Nice little course
This is great little unique course. I enjoyed the layout. There’s just enough challenge enough easy to make it interesting. I found the back to be harder than the front, but hole nine is great.
Great course but can be slow
This was my first time playing this course and it was a fun one. My biggest complaint was that the pace was so slow I saw people, including myself leave before finishing. There were a few foursomes that must have been playing for new homes because they were so slow in the greens that each putt must have been worth a grand. Other than that, it was a really fun day and the weather was perfect.
Long round
It was a 5 1/2 round
Made for a long inconsistent day
Overpriced for what it is
Paid $130 for a weekday 11am tee time and a set of rental clubs. The rental clubs were in horrid condition and were all mismatched. I had 2 putters? The pace of play was extremely slow to where I left after 15 holes. I got a hot dog at the turn that cost $7.50!? For a hotdog, that’s crazy. The whole place felt like a money grab.
