Clearwater Country Club

About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Slow pace and slower greens
Pace of play was over 5 hours. Most holes had groups standing and waiting to tee off. Then it was like a shooting gallery of people hitting in to you from all directions. Not my type of course. Won’t be back.
Fun, Challenging Course
Played here on a recommendation. Excellent value at a good price. Greens were in good condition. Some of the fairways and tee boxes could've used a little love but overall great course to play. Incredibly friendly staff. Can't wait to return
Fairways, not great, signs to holes non existent , staff unfriendly
Great course, long round
I really like this course, but both times i have played it, we are late teeing off and the round is at least 4.5 hours long. There appear to be no one monitoring the pace of play. I would play it again, but I'll pack a lunch next time.
lGood course and friendly club house
The greens are very nice but a little slow. The course is otherwise in great shape! It is a very good deal to pay to golf here.
Fun day
Fun day. Greens were slow but in very good shape.
This course was in better shape than the nearby, superiorly-designed Chi Chi Rodriguez course we played the next day Clearwater CC has some fun and interesting challenges, nonetheless.
We snowbirds will return to play it again next year!
The course is in good shape.
The Sunday pace of play teeing off after 1:00 pm was very slow. However, the course offers great value for the Clearwater area. It's in very good shape. Some holes are just a basic back and forth. Others offer interesting challenges. The greens are a bit slow, but they are mostly terrifically consistent. We will play here again plenty of times.
