Clearwater Country Club

About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Ok
Just ok golf. Cramped layout. Overpriced. There's a lot better options for less around. Greens are nice and carts are new.
Goat Track
The course had a cart path only policy in effect the day I played. That would insinuate maintenance or other conditions on the course were under improvement.
There was no indication any maintenance was underway. A vast majority of the Fairways were more dirt and weeds than they were grass. Bunkers had not been raked in any regard. Only upside of course were greens that rolled slow, but consistent.
Given the abundance of golf in Florida, I never plan on playing this course again.
Poorly maintained other than the greens
Very poorly maintained fairways and rough. Lots of sand/sea shell left and right of practically every fairway. Not worth the price tag by any means. The pace is so so, the greens are pristine though
Better than I thought.
I’ve drove by this course so many times, but never played it until now. I wasn’t expecting much but it was a much better layout than I thought. I played the tips and it’s not a long course. It’s a fun scoreable course though. The fairways were pretty decent, the tee boxes, and the rough around the greens could use a little work. The greens on the other hand were very healthy rolled very true but they could’ve been just a little faster. There is 1 tee box with a green on each side of it, both of them not far away. on the back nine. I can’t remember which hole. Not just dangerous but goofy. I played in just 3 hours. I think I got lucky with timing. Either way the course is very nice and well worth it. I will definitely be back to play again..
Business trip
I would highly recommend this course as I was here for a business trip really enjoyed playing there. Wish I had a golf course of this caliper at home in Cincinnati.
Country Club?
The course is pretty nice the putting greens are fast and smooth. Fairways mostly green with good lies in the fairway. Way overpriced for the layout and design . I had played here many years ago and never returned The staff was very nice and professional I wont be back its just okay and costs too much for what it is.
practice green is mint
Good carts, decent greens, good practice green, trash range. good for afternoon rounds at a decent price.
The course has great features
The course was in great shape. The greens were in excellent shape.Played the round in good time

Not Well Maintained
Tee Boxes were littered with broken tees, fairways not well maintained, bathrooms were overflowing with paper towel in the morning which indicates they weren’t cleaned. On a positive note, greens were in excellent condition. Would not go back
Best public course in area
By far the best public course in the area. Got out at 7:40am and finished in under 4 hours. Must have just redone their green because they were in perfect condition.
Don’t recommend
5.5 hour round, Friday 10am tee time. Waited on every tee box. Multiple pinch points on the course where more than two tee times were stacked up. Greens were in good shape but slow. If you don’t land in the middle of the fairway, you might as well be playing off the grass in your backyard.
