The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,454 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 118. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Good to work on your game. True greens, fun for all.
Lovely Course
Wow, real grass in Florida! Considering we have had no rain in Florida for a month, the fairways were excellent! The greens were really fast. Enjoyed the round! Will be back.
Perfect little course
The course is short but just challenging enough to feel long. I will definitely be going back.
I dont know about $40 per round but the GolfNow $25.00 is worth the money
Cool to play Chi Chi’s course
It was cool to play one of my favorite golfers course but the upkeep is lacking, the clubhouse was subpar, the pace of play was tortoise like, and service was severely lacking. I stopped at the turn to get something to eat stood for about 10 minutes and just returned to the 10th tee which still had 2 groups on it
Slooooooo
Nice layout and lightning fast greens but terrible terrible slooooow play. No Marshall and called clubhouse about two guys jumping ahead, in front of a women’s foursome just as the were just about to drive up to the tee box.
Exhausted after a 5 1/2!!!!! hiur round.
Short.
Many will avoid this course as the yardage is only 5K. But it is not an executive course. I played it like one, using the upper tees so I could play with my wife and father in law.
The course can be very tough - sand bunkers everywhere, rolling fairways - not the usual flat terrain of Florida. FAST greens, in very good condition.
I would play it again, probably from the white tees.
Short but challenging
Super friendly staff. Course is in good shape. Greens are fast. The course is not significantly long but presents enough challenges to keep the round interesting.
Geat golf day in Clearwater!
Chi Chi's course is in the best shape ever... our friends from Cocoa Beach were over and had never played it.
My wife and I have played it many times... it's one of our favorites. The greens are wonderful and many upgrades have happened in the past couple of years. We had a fun day... started on the cool side, but warmed up to 70 by the time we finished. Never a cloud in the sky!
Good Challenge
As they keep working on this course it will get better, always enjoy my first outing here when we get to Clearwater.
Nice course
First time playing this course. Nice layout. The 1st tee was not properly handled. I have played a lot of golf and I have never seen a backup like I saw at this course. The staff said because they were busy. Well someone needs to understand how to work a tee sheet. It can not be that hard.
Starter or Ranger PLEASE!!
Our group has been there numerous amount of times, we usually have other things going on before 12 so we make it to chi chi after 1. It has been horrendous without a ranger or starter the last few visits overall rating has dropped because of pace of play but we will continue to comback and see if this changes. The course wasn't informed.
Very unique
Thus course is a pretty fun little course. It has nice charm to it. It seems like a small course but plays like a big boy course. Each hole is its own hole and there is very few times you could share fairways. None of the holes are very long but require accurate tee shots and precise approaches. The greens were not lightning quick nor were they slow. They played to a good recreations speed. The only real complaint I have is with some of the routing, there were a couple of times where it would have been very easy to get lost had we not been warned by the club house. All in all, I had a great time and most certainly will be back
