About
The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,313 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 115. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Golfer Reviews
Short, needs work, play it once
On the plus side the greens are excellent.
In the negative side…fairways horrible, tee boxes bad, pace of play SLOW, course layout extremely short…but it plays “ok” with a decent challenge despite the sub 5000 yard tee boxes.
It’s ok to play for the novelty of it, but the fairways are SO BAD it really makes the course a bad value.
Fun course
Greens are excellent
Fairways and tees are not too bad
Good pace of play on a Tuesday. You won't be disappointed playing a round here.
Great Day
Course is in fairly good shape considering there hasn’t been any significant rain. Greens are super fast!! Had a great day.
Put the driver in the bag
Fun course. Tight fairways. Fast greens. I put the driver away after the 2nd hole and focused on my iron game. You’ll need to hit tight shots. Small fairways and hazards throughout. Don’t let the short yardage fool you. Bring your game.
Ok not bad
No practice area. Only 3 tee box options.
Greens very good. The fairways fair.
In general an “ok” course. Price ok.
I’d play again if no better options available
Fairways, tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Greens were also very fast with tough pin placements, which tested your hole management. Overall a nice course!
Chi Chi’s on a Wednesday
It has been 12 months since I last played this course and I saw a lot of good changes to the course.
It .is much more wide open and still challenging. 😥. Always liked this course and practice facilities as they are close enough to my home to enjoy.
The play on February 25 2026 was not all that great. We were not expecting to have a 5+ hour round ( if we would have plated all the holes. Play was very slow and really affected us and a few teams behind us .
We saw no Marshalls to assist in managing the play movement and speed.
We are not professional by any means but the group ahead was painfully slow. We did not get a full round in.
We will try another time ( as we like the course) to see if anything improves .
Management are jerks and beer is not allowed. Course is beautiful though if you're a doormat and a square.
Grear Playable Layout
The course was a very playable, straight forward course. A shorter than normal course, a true test of your short game. Green were in great condition, rolled fast and true. Staff very helpful.
