The Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Club, centrally located on McMullen Booth Road a comparably short course, offering just 5,454 yards from the blue tees and a slope rating of 118. Most of the fairways are wide, making errant shots still playable. In essence, it is the ideal place to work on your golf game, to correct that nasty slice or learn to hit that oversized driver without fear of losing 100 balls. As a result, it is a favorite among novice golfers who want to be challenged but also have an enjoyable round.

Greens were ridiculous
Greens were like slanted billiard tables. Didn’t hold even high approach shots. If you missed a downhill putt the ball would roll forever.
February golf, this canadian is pleased
Chi chi.. nice track, good layout, not long, but shots are required, long baller? No driver required... greens were very true and running at a super pace..I enjoy playing the course.. always a decent test.. fairways are very important.. fairways were firm and could roll for awhile into some nasty Bermuda grass lies.. all in all a decent game. Because the course is on a school property.. no alchohol. Bunkers... too much sand and difficult escapes!!
Course is in very good shape
The course is definitely in better shape than it was last year. I suppose that's what a hurricane will require. I always love this tight course where sometimes I don't use my driver off several of the tee boxes.
The teeing grounds and greens were nice. Although the green speeds didn't always match.
Overall, a very enjoyable round of golf.
Overrated
Course was poorly maintained and facilities were outdated. Only benefit was the friendly staff who moved our twosome ahead of a sixsome. Much better courses in the Tampa/clearwater area.
Good public course
For public courses in this area the conditions are very good. You might look at the card and think it’s short but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
Plenty of water and weeds to kill your score if you don’t hit ‘em straight,

Nice layout, fast greens and fair price. Would highly recommend.
Nice course
This course is not overpriced like most in Florida. Pace was good. Greens decent for this time of year.
Beautiful Course
We both really enjoyed this course as it is a bit shorter than most courses and beautiful holes and layout. Great course for anyone but especially those who don’t play a lot as it was very forgiving and only a couple difficult holes. Definetely will be back to play this course again.
Bad course for the price
Sandy Greens, rough tee boxes. Take your money elsewhere. I
Nice Thurs PM round
Finished in 3 hr 15, had to wait a few times on group ahead. Tight lies in fairways and many soggy spots, bunkers in good shape (wish i didn't know that), greens sanded today, but rolled good, They'll be great in a week or so. Tees are being reseeded. Weather was beautiful!
Fast greens
Fast greens but true. Partner, who works at a course up north estimated the greens at 12. Enjoyed the round.
Great condition and challenging
I saw the course was rated in really good condition. When I got there I found out Jack Nicklaus helped to design the course. I was very impressed with how challenging the par 67 was, and what great conditions the greens were in. And they were fast. High recommend this course. Bring some extra golf balls.
