River/Dolphin Golf Course at Cocoa Beach Country Club

I've been playing this course when on vacation for the past 10 years. The staff, who used to be rude, has changed and are very friendly and accommodating. The course is in much better condition than before. Had a great time

The greens are always immaculate here, very plush. They run true as well. The fairways were a bit spotty, but typical around here this time of year. Overall, a great value for the money.

The course was very accessible to me, the high handicapper. The fairways were a little dried out and weren't like a carpet, but the greens were incredible. Mid-afternoon the wind really picked up, but it was a great course to play.

Played on a Friday AM and was paired with another couple. A little hectic in the clubhouse - ladies league I think. We played the Lakes and Dolphin course. They must have played the River course because we never saw them again nor any other golfer in front or behind us!! Fairly easy course from the Senior tees but still 5,800 yards. Greens were a little slower but to my liking. It was a very relaxing round. The highlight was a large alligator lounging beside a pond in front of one of the greens. This is a municipal facility. Clubhouse was probably built in the 60s or 70s. Nice change of pace from the inland courses.

The course was in good shape but due to rain earlier there were some soft spots. The course was more difficult because of the cart path only rule that day.

This course was a good course with sneaky challenges of played from the wrong distance.
The greens are slow with minimal breaks.

It is a very nice place near the water. The nature is wonderfull. The greens are in a god condition.

Lots of wildlife, I.e. Osprey,
Great putting green.

Greens are the best in the area. Pretty well everything else is in poor condition especially the fairways.

Greens are excellent, fairways are not good at all.

What nice course, staff is super. Course layout is great with the banana river along a few holes. Fairways not to narrow so if you spray a shot you're not in to much trouble. Greens in greet shape.

The course overall is relatively easy. Fair for beginners and some holes challenging from the gold tees for higher handicaps. Windy (30 mph) so that was the challenge for us on several holes. Being a muni several green scars golfers don't fix otherwise the greens were decent. Fairways average and in need of water. Pace of play poor and no Ranger to help pace of play. I have played the course several times a year for five years and the improvements made over that time have been positive. I hope they continue to work on the fairways. The rest of the issues I mentioned can be improved by better management. Staff is very nice. We will continue to play there.

Greens -are outstanding
Fairways- need work (flooding is a problem here) grass can be sparse in places. Fairways are still a work in progress, but fixable and their not that bad
Bunkers- Sand consistency is pretty good through out the course
Difficulty- I'm a 9 handicap (legitimate#, pretty easy course, but fun.
Pace of play- I golfed here off-season, it was good. However it is a Municipal Course. You see and experience the pitfalls of a Municipal Course that being, slow first time players, with no understanding of proper golf etiquette. Marshalls #Nice ) are almost invisible and seem afraid to speak to slow golfers.
Food/Beverage- Super nice staff..

Not a busy day and this contributed to an enjoyable round. The greens were excellent and putted true. The overall conditions of the course was excellent also. I recommend this course to all recreational golfers.

very nice golf view ,very nice golf hole along the indian river,youge club house with a lots of choice of anithing regarding golf ,yuge driving range nice practice putting green ,3 x 9 hole of golf any golfer shoud like to play that golf course ....

Greens were in excellent shape, fairways were in good shape. The only issue is the rough is well pretty rough. Not alot of grass in the rough tends to be mostly weeds and crab grass.

I was pleasantly surprise with this course, I will definitely
play again when, I happen to be in the cocoa beach area.
it was good for the value, and we were pair with 2 local guys, and they sure help to make our play easier..

Beautiful setting. Has challenges but is very fair. Would play again in a heartbeat if I lived nearby.

This was well worth the time and money Greta view greens in excellent condition. Wildlife to see including dolphins swimming by! I will be playing this course again!
