Providence Golf Club

This course is a hidden gem. When vacationing in the Orlando area stick to the resort courses. Don’t steal my tee times. 😉

This is a beautiful course, but made very difficult since it was cart path only after recent rains. The fairways were not wet, and the 90+ degrees heat was tough. Most bothersome was the rough, which was way too high, and the NARROW fairways, which made for many lost balls which slipped into any rough. And the fact that many holes required a long second or third shot to carry over the rough (no "runways" to manage this) was annoying.

But at least the $4.25 beers were a bargain!

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, course in excellent shape considering all the rain the past month. GPS on carts very accurate on distances to pins.

This is a very nice course! Especially for the money. Some holes cart path only but that's to be expected. Some greens showing signs of summer heat but that's also to be expected. The staff takes very good care of this course! The pro shop guy was very nice and helpful. The carts have a very good gps system and are new and electric. There's no stopping by the clubhouse at the turn. Many dog legs and therefore the course doesn't play as long as the yardage says.

I play many courses in the SE United States, this one is a HIDDEN GEM!

I come in frequently with guests and the staff at the Pro Shop are very friendly, even before they started recognizing me for my frequent rounds. Bruce is so helpful, always has a smile and makes my friends and I feel at home. This course is always top tier, rangers do their jobs politely and they are helpful to the guests. Gary was Ranger today and he was very polite and chatted with us while we had a few minutes to wait for tee off. Jerry and Candy can also be found at the front desk a lot of days and they are also polite and helpful getting everyone situated. This course is also very tidy, and is always in tasty good condition. The club house, range and practice areas are higher end just like the course. You will have a good round at this course and the staff here treats their guests well. I highly recommend this course, also some great wildlife runs around here so have your camera ready.

Seems that weekend mornings all the residents play early and play extremely slow. Playing from tees they shouldn’t be playing and looking for balls for 5+ minutes since they play from tee boxes too far for them to play…

It’s a great course for the money, fairways and greens are outstanding, the staff is welcoming and courteous. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Providence has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, the staff are always helpful, and there is a genuine sense of community.

The course is enjoyable, well looked after and challenging enough to keep every round interesting.

Probably the best club we’ve played at in Central Florida, and we’re so lucky to have the club literally on our doorstep!

Had a good day of golf at this nice course. Was my 1st time there so I did have some shots I'll plan differently next time out. Greens were on the slower side but not hard to get the speed dialed in. Fairways were nice although some holes were cart path only due to some soggy areas after a lot of recent rain. On those holes I seemed that have found the worst spots with my tee shots, balls landed and popped out of the crater a foot or so away. Worst one was on 16, nice elevated tee shot from the blue tees, I took it over the water about 260 yards but got no roll out, that baby would have gone at least 310 yards total in dry conditions. I look forward to going back and hitting that same drive and watching it bounce and roll towards the green!

The course is in amazing shape, the greens are immaculate. The staff is top notch from the time I pulled into the parking and the after round dining was a great experience. The pro shop personnel were outstanding. I am looking forward to my next round A must play course if you are in the area.
