Providence Golf Club meanders through forests of ancient hardwoods, freshwater creeks, and natural wetlands. The course's scenic landscape also serves as home to an abundance of wildlife including otters, deer, and wild turkeys. Mike Dasher designed the golf course, allowing his admiration for European-style golf course to be reflected in his unique undulated greens. Dasher combined elements of heathland, parkland, and traditional Florida-style courses to create a layout that is both endlessly versatile and visually stunning. A notable hole is the par-4 14th, which will either make or break your score. Golfers will face the most demanding tee shot on the entire course that will determine your chances of reaching the hole in regulation. Providence Golf Club has a strong local following but it is also popular amongst visitors since it sits just fifteen minutes from the major theme parks.

Nice layout

Nice course. Price a little high in my opinion. Great staff. Pace of play was good. We were paired with two members who were very pleasant and provided good info on aiming points and hidden course features. They made our round much more enjoyable.

The Blues

Group in front of us should NOT be playing from BLUE tee's, and maybe not even the White. Then they stopped for alligator photo's. We couldn't go anywhere but that didn't stop the guy's behind us from hitting into us. MAYBE A RANGER WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA.

If you can get a really good deal try it out. If not go somewhere else.

This is a well maintained course.

Il will continue to be play Providence when in Davenport for the winter. Greens were fast and consistent. We wanted to have dinner after golf two different Fridays and were told there were know reservations available. Please expand your dining options.

Great Layout

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Fun and interesting holes. Pace of play could improve if pro shop monitored the play through the GPS on the carts. We fell behind 30 minutes due to the foursome in front of us. Only other recommendation would be strategically placed port-a-lets until the on-course restrooms are completed. . Will be back!

We enjoyed the course. Pace was quite slow for the price. Very disappointed that we were not able to have an appetizer at the end of the round as the kitchen was closed. We did have a drink and a bag of chips. Otherwise was an okay round.

I liked course layout, good challenge. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Fairways and rough ok per time of year (no over seating done). Greens were very slow and grainy, needs work, greens were shaped good - size and sloped fine for good challenge.
