Providence Golf Club

Course was in great shape, played the course in 3hours 20 minutes, staff was very friendly, would highly recommend this course, great value for the money.

It is not in perfect or excellent shape, but in good condition. For the value this time of year, the price was to value of the course. Would recommend and play again.

Played here numerous times. This was the best shape I have ever seen it. It also took us only 3 hours to play

The last couple of times I've played Providence the group in front of us was playing slow, and, since their play seems to die off in the afternoons, we jumped over and played the front nine a second time. The front nine is pretty straightforward...only 1 semi-forced carry, and even there you can opt to bail to the left and not have to carry the water at all. Wide open fairways.

Then there's the back nine...the first hole you have a choice...if you hit a high ball with some length and a little draw, take it over the trees that block your view of half the fairway, and you can be rewarded with a short shot into the green (or you can never see that ball again for all sorts of reasons, including that you hit into the group in front of you without knowing it)...this would be a case where having the GPS on the cart tell you where other carts were could be useful. On about the 14th hole you are faced with the same situation again. For most amateurs, with a steady fade. These holes set up for bogey at best. I don't like blind shots, and I don't think they are a fair test for most amateurs (and by the way I went bogey, par for these holes, so this is not just sour grapes).

The elevated tee on the 16th (depending on the tees being played) is impressive, and makes the short par 4 a lot of fun if the wind is off the right toward the water down the left side (especially if your natural ball flight is a draw).

It's a pretty course. But, it's built (like many courses in the area) on what was pretty boggy land. If it has been raining it is soft(like lift, clean and place soft) and there will often be standing water in the waste areas.

Played a few times great staff nice course however Saturday 10th was terrible tee time 11.20. That was delayed to 11.40 then it took 2 Hours 40 Minutes to play 9 holes. By then had enough and left.

This course was a 4 star track - fairways, bunkers, greens were all quite good. Tee blocks a little thin . I'll return here next trip.

The pace of play was horrendous. We were a 2 ball and were paired with another couple who quit after 9.

We teed off 25 minutes late and took nearly 5 hours to finish the round. We were waiting at least 5-10 minutes on every hole.

The course is beautiful and in great condition but it ruins it when the pace is so horrible.

They overbooked again…not the first time.

Waited on every hole, tee time was 12:25, didn’t get out until 12:45, not too unacceptable except we wrapped up at dark. This is not a 5 hour course.

FYI they charge $20 extra if you need yourown cart (I have a medical condition that may have made me cut out early so needed my own)

So this is not the first time my friends and I have played here and this is not the first time I have had a bad experience but this starter guy really pushed me out of my limit this time.

We got there about five minutes before our tee time and we were ready to go, so he is just sitting in his cart so I went to him and asked him if we are ready to go. He said no, they are running behind and there are two more group in front of us. I said OK and went to my cart and said there is one more group and us next and heard us. He literally screened at me I front of all and said whatever just because I misunderstood. I lost it too cause that’s not how you talk to the customers, regardless whatever the business you are in. I actually had to confront him and put him in his place. Him just sitting in his cart and act like he has a bad day cause it is busy, he should be getting people ready to stay on pace.

LAST TIME AT THIS COURSE. There are about 110 courses in Central Florida and around it. Do they really think that someone will put up with his BS?

Well maintained. Great pace of play; about 3.25 hours. Cart lady came by at least 4 times in the round. Greens were in condition but a little on the slow side. Otherwise, everything was great!
