About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Nice Course for the Money
Nice open course with some topography not normally seen in this area. Greens were nominal for this level of heat. Fairways and approaches were very nice given this time of year(heat). Tee boxes were hard. Staff was very helpful. All in all, nice round for the money spent. I will return.

Fun layout slow greens
Greens were quite slow and not receptive when chipping. Loved the layout exactly what you want to play to make some birdies and not worry about the bushes on your tee shots.

Fun afternoon of golf!
Nice, enjoyable round of golf with my son-in-law. I had booked the round and prepaid on the Tee-off app. We arrived about 30 minutes before our scheduled tee-time. We checked in, at the pro shop, and were able to quickly move to the first tee and begin the round early. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to complete the round in approximately 2.5 hours.
The course was in fairly good shape for a municipal course. The greens were nice while the tee boxes had some bare spots. Overall great experience on a very fairly priced course.

What's a little bit of rain?
Ok so I will not complain about the course because the grounds keepers cannot control the weather. And I had the option to look at the radar. Before I even hit the range, the nice ladies at the clubhouse let me know I could get a raincheck if it was too bad. And since it was slow they let me start early.
I was asked to stay on the cart path due to the weather and that meant I walked a lot more than normal seeing as I would inevitably slice to the other side of the fairway.
I enjoy this course and the people who work there. I've played it more than a handful of times and I will continue to come back. (Unless it's raining)
