About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Did not play
Course closed due to severe storms that came thru Saturday 4/10. Not sure how long they will remain closed...they had significant wind damage to facilities and to the course.

Great Golf
This course offers conditions like no other in the Pensacola area. Only couse with the most elevation changes you will find. Gracious fairways smallish greens. This course will challange every aspect of your game.

Distinct from Other Local Courses
Cypress Lakes features many elevated and relatively small greens that test one's short-game abilities. There are plenty of variations from hole to hole. The groundskeeper is surely one of the best as the course, especially the greens, is in great shape despite last year's hurricane and winter conditions in general. While the amenities are somewhat lacking, the challenge of play makes it a great course.

Great value and fun course
Some nice views and interesting layouts. Was able to play on a weekday with virtually no slow downs either in front or running up on us. I will play here again soon.
