About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Great Day On The Course For The Money
Great course that is always fun to play and always a great value. You never feel rushed on the course. Great course for everyone as the difficulty is good enough to challenge a veteran player but forgiving enough for a novice.
Beautiful
Pretty scenery, a great driving course, forgiving for a hacker like me. Greens were fast and well kept. I enjoy playing their. Thank you
Sunday play
The course is in pretty good shape for early January. The greens are in very good condition.
Apparently a number of novices were playing on Sunday. Thus, there were bunkers that folks had not adequately raked, leaving footprints, holes, etc.
Super Round of Golf
This is the 1st round of golf for me in nearly a year due to medical issues so I was a bit apprehensive about playing.. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was extremely wet due to all the recent rain, but the tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Because my brother-in-law had not played for quite some time, our pace of play was not the best, but we let a couple of groups play through to prevent any back up.. Overall a super round of golf. I look forward to returning to this course in the near future.
Hills in florida?
Never played this 1 before but took a chance. Pulled up to a full house and wondered what I'd signed up for. If you need a fancy clubhouse or parking lot pass. If you want friendly people and a neat course it's for you. Front 9 is a bit more open than the back but nothing too scary. A few tricky greens but the speed is about right for the slopes. Ring the bell Marty it's a winner.
Golf
Very nice fairways and greens for the middle of November! I will definitely come back. Worth every cent
Very Open
We played here while staying in Pensacola, Florida. The fairways were plush, rough was in great shape, but the greens could NOT hold the ball. You could hit a great approach shot into the green and it roll right off the back. The greens rolled very smooth but couldn’t grab the ball. I do recommend playing here for sure though. The course was open and fun to play!
18 Holes Friday and Cowded
Course was in very good shape.T boxes were a little small. Seems most courses seem to not see the importance
of larger T boxes..Most disappointing is the fact that the pro shop does not have a “map” or layout of the course. Not on their web site, not in the pro shop and nothing on the score card.

Course is in good condition!
I’ve played this course on several occasions and always have a great time. The staff is always pleasant. However, it would have been nice to know before we started it was the day they had their Club Championship for the adults and youth , therefore play was extremely slow. Longest round of my life. Had I not paid in advance through the app I would have picked a different day.

Fast greens

Very hot day!
Located in the Florida Panhandle, suffering from a 45+ day drought, with daily temperatures in the high 90s, this course was in great condition. Amazing how great the condition of fairways, greens, and roughs were over the entire course. Will definitely play again...but when the temps are much lower.

Best Layout, Best Condition
I know of no other course that has better greens or better greens complex, i/e. bunkers, collars, close chip areas. The slopping hills and doglegs are fun, par 3's are cool looking and challenging. Excellent carts. Not much of a clubhouse so come here to golf, not to eat or hang around. Parking lot is a disaster but probably costs too much to repave right now.

Better Than Most
I was very surprised to see the good condition of this course. Tee boxes and fairways are very nice for this hot summer. Greens are slow but true. It is in better shape than other courses around the 9 mile Rd, I-10 area. Pro shop, parking lot and any amenities are lacking severely but for actual golf, this is the place. Nice carts too.
