Cypress Lakes Golf Club
About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Glen
Challenging course with wide fairways we'll cut and slower greens
Great value
Course was nice . One of the only courses in Pensacola with elevation change. Greens was a little slow though.
Course Layout Fine
Fairways soft and not that plush. We would not pay 35 to play it again. Slowest greens we have played on ALL YEAR LONG. Rough a little too rough. And we play 60 rounds a year min.

Great Experience enjoyed the round at a great price.
cypress lakes
Very fine course for the golf now rates. Really enjoy play here and a great first time experience for my wife yesterday. So much better than soldier creek to which I will not return. I plan on bringing another friend to cypress lakes next week for another first time experience.
Had a great time as usual.
I play this course quite often. Staff is always friendly and course is in great shape except for a couple of greens. They were still playable and did not effect my score. I will recommend this course to all my friends.
This course was an unexpected value
At this price point, you will not find a better course to play! Course is in very good condition and the facilities were very clean, well maintained and adequate.
Really enjoy this course
How a course should be managed, no nonsense a la osceola
Pretty, varied layout
No frills but hard not to have good time playing golf
Cypress Lakes
Considering the weather and the recent storms and flood, this course drained very well. It is one of the very few courses that are in very good conditions from T to Green.
A superb course challenging yet playable for any player regardless of experience or ability.
Too many groups of five!
There were too many groups of five , no starter! Had to wait at least five minutes on every hold on the back. Asked the group of five to play thru, they refused a group of two, so we quit on the 15th hole!
Good Shape!
The course was in good condition. The staff was nice. It was worth the price to play there.
Overall good
The course is a challenge. I have bad knees and the course is not a good one for that. Greens are all on big hills and have bad run offs.
forgot my wet suit and snorkel
Average course. Very wet. small parking lot. Small pro shop. Good place to start a golf season after a winter break.
Beautiful day on a nice golf course
I thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful day doing what I enjoy: playing golf! Played by myself until 13 and paired up with another single. Good time!

Certain challenge
This course has a variety of shots waiting to be hit. It certainly take careful course management but rewards you for risks of more difficult shots. Being able to work the ball and play with elevation changes is a must. The course tends to hold too much moisture would be the only negative. If you are a high ball hitter look for no roll and only carry.
Varied Terrain
What a beautiful and unusual course for the Panhandle of Florida. The course is rolling and laid out very well. It is challenging and it was very enjoyable to play.
conditions
The clubhouse is below average. No bar and hot dogs only. The course drains poorly and is often very wet.
Cypress
Front 9 is tough, back 9 more forgiving. wait a week after rain, drainage not too good. Inconsistent greens during winter, some fast and some very slow. Nice course. Nice people.
Course has challenging holes
The course will give you a challenge, especially on the greens.
