Great Fairways - Below Average Greens
We had a wonderful time playing - 4 hours from 1 tee to 19 green. The weather was great, the course looks fine -- except for the greens. The greens were very bumpy - and it does seem to be from recent aeration. There were lots of weeds in the greens and significant bare spots.
This course was very maintained
The course was very enjoyable to play. Fairways were outstanding, but greens still had some airation hole & little on the slow side. Very nice course to play & I would tell my friends to play it too.
Excellent Golf Course
This is a very good gold course located in a retirement community. It use to be private and now is open to the public. It has two courses if you like the course not to be challenging pick the Oak course but if you would like some challenge then pick the Cypress course. It has more lakes around the course and more difficulties.
Hawkeye fan
Can't say enough good things about the staff, excellent. Special thanks to Vicki. The Oaks was a treat, great golf course. The Cyprus a bit tight but very playable. We played 36 holes for two straight days here and had a blast. We will incorporate these facilities into our yearly visit. The Grille had great food and got us in and out quickly. Be prepared to drive long distances between holes. Don't miss this one on your visit, price is very affordable especially for 36 holes. Ed V!
Challenging
Beautiful course in great condition. Tight fairways - keep it in the fairways and you can score. Greens were excellent - rolled fast and true
Excellent except for bad traps
Very pretty holes, super wide fairways with many sand traps and nominal water. Sand traps are a downer. The sand used absorbs moisture and is like hitting out of damp mortar. Could use a whole new type of sand.
Great Course
This is a great course and well worth the $60 total for my wife and I. It was a little backed up at first as the computer had double booked tee times for a stretch but picked up quickly after that. Finished in just over 4 hours. Course is quite wide open with few hazards. Very pleased with this course. Good happy hour and excellent food in clubhouse. Course in great shape.
Great shape.
Course very manicured. Country Club caliber. We'll play it a lot while in Florida.
Stonegate-Oaks Course
Great course for the money. Paid $35 each for the round through Golf Now. Greens in great shape. Lots of water. Would play again in a heartbeat!
Beautiful Cours
Gorgeously laid out course with wide oak lined fairways. Moderately challenging with strategic bunker placement, and some water, but not overly intimidating for and average or high-handicap golfer. Course is very well maintained, and overall experience is terrific, and worth playing again.
Stonegate Oaks
course was in excellent shape greens were challenging
Great value
The course is in great shape and greens were running well and true. Oaks is more scenic then Cypress. Greens are protected well so use an extra club to get up on top and chance at birdie.
Over priced
I think it is over priced for home course. I would play it more if it didn't cost so much. It is a nice lay out. It plays to my game.
Had a wonderful time. Fun to play. Great pairing.
Got paired with three residents. All solid guys. Had a great time. Would play here again. The facility is excellent.
Much improved course conditions from last year
I love this course. Usually play few times when I'm down from Indiana for the winter. The only negative thing (other than poured down rain last two holes), and I notice this from time to time,. when I book good deal on Golf Now, I'm looked upon as, "go over there and wait in the corner until one minute before your tee time." That's how it was yesterday where I loaded my bag on the cart. There were couple threesomes going to the tee box. I ask if I could join them about 15 min before my tee time. I was told they were members and preferred to play 3 some. My tee time was 12:12 and I finally got paired with twosome at 12:20.
nice course
Scenic golf course with wild life excellent condition some of the best greens we have played club house food and staff first class
great course with a little of everything
we only were able to finish 14 holes, started to late, we will go back. a very attractive course, very well kept.
Fair and Fun
Overall good value. Not as nice as last time I was here. But the time of the year and weather played a factor in that.
Always very good to excellent
Cant fault this course-must be best value in Orlando area!
