Player friendly course
Wide fairways and big greens make for a player friendly course that was in very good condition. Played this course twice last year and it will be on our list for next year. There was a two hour frost delay so the course played slow. Still finished in under 4.5 hours.
Good course
like the course glad I paired up!could have been long day! Greens in good shape, will be back to play Cypress.
Great course
First time playing this course. Lot's of water and narrow fairways. Quite the challenge. The par 3's are beautiful. I would highly recommend this course.
Saved the best until last
This was my last outing for this two week vacation and I definitely saved the best until last. From arrival to departure the whole experience was fantastic. Most help staff at the bag drop, Pro shop and starter all with a smile and great sense of humour. The course has a great layout (although there's some distance between some holes) with every type of hole and is very well maintained. The wildlife is an added bonus, you can't beat an 8 foot alligator sunning himself by the tee box. We stayed for a meal afterwards in the clubhouse were the food was and atmosphere was great, a very enjoyable day, a true GolfNow hot deal.
twice the fun
With two excellent courses, you can pick either one and enjoy yourself. The courses are in great shape and the scenery is wonderful. I especially like that it plays for any level golfer.
Very well maintained
This course is beautiful. Lots of distance from T to T. The sand traps are plentiful but we'll maintained. I felt like I was playing on a PGA course.
Great Track
This course is a great layout. It's more open than the Oaks.
greens on the mend
The course was in good condition. However due to over seeding
of the greens, they were only in fair condition. The second nine was noisy. New housing construction on some holes as well other outside influences (tennis courts, roadways etc.) made it harder to concentrate on play.
Very nice course
Loved the layout. Very playable from any of the tees. Challenging bunkers. Nice fairways but the greens were a little rough. Hard to judge speed due to the amount of sand on them.
Stonegate Golf Course (Oaks)
The greens were okay but a couple greens had a few bad spots.
the course was ok
friendly staff course was ok greens were moderate speed would recondment it
Must play !!!
I highly recommend this scenic course. First time playing it (Oaks) and I will be back! Great balance of holes. Conditioning is top notch. This is one of the best courses around and I've played a lot in the area. Loved the playability of this course! Shot 73 from the whites...Only complaint- where was the cart girl?....oh yeah and love the quaint little village concept...
Got duped
They had just overseeded the greens and tee boxes and there was no warning the course would be in such poor condition. They seem to have cut the greens as low as they could then overseeded which made the greens spotty and shaggy at the same time. They were almost unplayable. The tee boxes were 2 inches thick and on multiple holes I teed off left of the box just to get somewhat short grass. They were also charging full price with the course under maintenance. I will not be going back because of the lack of warning of course conditions.
Good course for the money
Staff very friendly and helpful. My wife forgot her golf shoes and was able to purchase a pair for a good price. Course in good shape, paired us with 2 others to keep the pace of play moving. Played in 4.5 hours, not bad for a Sat. afternoon and considering the long rides between some of the hole. Greens were a good speed but a little bumpy in places. Fairways in very good condition. Will play there again.
Should be private
the course itself is fairly nice, decent layout and pretty good shape. Slow greens but in good condition. What renders this course unplayable is the hordes of retiree members out for a 6 hour round and unwilling to let any group play through. The groups we encountered were quite rude and obviously didn't want us on their home course. My twosome finally quit on the 11th hole after lengthy waits on the last 6 holes. This club should be for the residents only as they appear to have their own acceptable etiquette for pace of play .
Stonegate is the Gold Standard
We are 4 neighbors from Kissimmee who love to golf.
Our newest member of the foursome, from Georgia, was extremely impressed with the conditions, layout and pure beauty of both the Oaks and Cypress courses. We played 27 holes and enjoyed them all. The tee boxes and greens were in pristine condition and the fairways were great. We are residents of Florida and appreciate the specials that are offered to us for such great quality recreation.
interesting course
nice friendly place, course not too difficult, the directions & signposting finding the course needs a little work doing.
Very enjoyable day.
Great days golf
This was my first game of golf on the Oaks course, I think I have found a little gem!, I played mid afternoon which at this time of the year is probably not ideal but I virtually had the course to myself, the course itself is very forgiving but also has its difficulty i.e the greens were very fast, plenty of room on most of the fairways an ideal course for high handicap golfers and lots of fun for lower handicap golfers of the back tees.
I highly recommend this course and will be back!
