Stonegate is the Gold Standard
We are 4 neighbors from Kissimmee who love to golf.
Our newest member of the foursome, from Georgia, was extremely impressed with the conditions, layout and pure beauty of both the Oaks and Cypress courses. We played 27 holes and enjoyed them all. The tee boxes and greens were in pristine condition and the fairways were great. We are residents of Florida and appreciate the specials that are offered to us for such great quality recreation.
interesting course
nice friendly place, course not too difficult, the directions & signposting finding the course needs a little work doing.
Very enjoyable day.
Great days golf
This was my first game of golf on the Oaks course, I think I have found a little gem!, I played mid afternoon which at this time of the year is probably not ideal but I virtually had the course to myself, the course itself is very forgiving but also has its difficulty i.e the greens were very fast, plenty of room on most of the fairways an ideal course for high handicap golfers and lots of fun for lower handicap golfers of the back tees.
I highly recommend this course and will be back!
Grateful to the staff
Thanks for the experience.it was a fun afternoon will play again
Neglected
I thought the tee boxes were in bad condition until I got to the greens. The greens are in worse condition and reflect the neglect of the course management company. It is a shame...this used to be a great course.
staff st pro shop not friendly at all
The pro shop movs my golf now tee time 45 minutes latter.
take it ot leave it..that was there responce.
i wait and the original tee time give us time to finish but to wait 45 linutes and delay since we.where the last the rain came in and we.could not finish.
we call golf now and did not help us with these situation golf now did not care at all too.
.
Nice coursein a retirement community
This course is in a retirement area like the Villages. You drive thru kind of a court square to get to the clubhouse. A decent course, but they had the slowest greens I've played this year. A mature course designed for resort and retired people.
Excellent Golf
Course was in great condition. Some challenging holes but fair
As good as it gets
I love this course. I have never played a better course in my life for the money I paid to play this course. The fairways were like carpet. IThe greens rolled very well.
The course is fairly wide open and I am a double bogey golfer (playing by all of the official rules) so this was a great course for me. There are a lot of bunkers but there are very few fairway bunkers or green side bunkers. Most of the bunkers come into play if you miss to the right. The course offers five tee boxes that are very well maintained but the course doesn't play very long.
It felt like I was at a private country club. The restrooms were like a private club. They provided all of those little extras (like an ice box on the cart) that you get at a private club.
If you want a very well manicured course, with virtually no forced carries and wide fairways, I can't imagine playing a better course.
They have two excellent courses (Cyrpess and Oaks) and the marshalls are great at letting you go off of another course, other than the one you signed up for if it is more wide open.
I do an annual golf tournament with a good friend from NYC. We will be back to use this course for our tournament in October. It poured rain but I still had the time of my life.
Trust me, play this course, you will be glad you did.

Great course & community
First you drive in through what I believe is an elderly community. Which mind I say, they have made it look fantastic and like its own little city! Cool little drive through. Course was great! The starter was hilarious! Greens in great shape. A lot of shapes to the holes making you work the ball both ways. Greens are large but roll quick. Great course for the money! Definitely would play there again
Stonegate Cypress
The course is in good to very good condition. A few of the bunkers had water in them but that is to be expected this time of year.
This course is fair with challenges
Condition are great, played from white my partner played tips we enjoyed our round greatly; this being the first time playing we shot a decent scores. Must return and play Cypress.
Great Fairways - Below Average Greens
We had a wonderful time playing - 4 hours from 1 tee to 19 green. The weather was great, the course looks fine -- except for the greens. The greens were very bumpy - and it does seem to be from recent aeration. There were lots of weeds in the greens and significant bare spots.
This course was very maintained
The course was very enjoyable to play. Fairways were outstanding, but greens still had some airation hole & little on the slow side. Very nice course to play & I would tell my friends to play it too.
Excellent Golf Course
This is a very good gold course located in a retirement community. It use to be private and now is open to the public. It has two courses if you like the course not to be challenging pick the Oak course but if you would like some challenge then pick the Cypress course. It has more lakes around the course and more difficulties.
Hawkeye fan
Can't say enough good things about the staff, excellent. Special thanks to Vicki. The Oaks was a treat, great golf course. The Cyprus a bit tight but very playable. We played 36 holes for two straight days here and had a blast. We will incorporate these facilities into our yearly visit. The Grille had great food and got us in and out quickly. Be prepared to drive long distances between holes. Don't miss this one on your visit, price is very affordable especially for 36 holes. Ed V!
Challenging
Beautiful course in great condition. Tight fairways - keep it in the fairways and you can score. Greens were excellent - rolled fast and true
Excellent except for bad traps
Very pretty holes, super wide fairways with many sand traps and nominal water. Sand traps are a downer. The sand used absorbs moisture and is like hitting out of damp mortar. Could use a whole new type of sand.
Great Course
This is a great course and well worth the $60 total for my wife and I. It was a little backed up at first as the computer had double booked tee times for a stretch but picked up quickly after that. Finished in just over 4 hours. Course is quite wide open with few hazards. Very pleased with this course. Good happy hour and excellent food in clubhouse. Course in great shape.
Great shape.
Course very manicured. Country Club caliber. We'll play it a lot while in Florida.
