The Oaks course was challenging.
I enjoyed playing the course, the fairways was excellent. The greens had some rough spots. I would recommend this course to all my friends. Joe Boasi
a good course
I thought the coursw was better than the Oaks but my wife enjoyed the Oaks more - so take your pick. Course in good nick with the greens certainly better than the Oaks. Nice variation of trees, water, doglegs some shorter but some longer holes. All in all a good days golf. I play off 8 and wife off 21 and we both enjoyed it.
Great Course
Incredibly accommodating !!
Great course will play again
You do need a cart on this one
Greens need some TLC
Need long drives with ball & cart
Front nine very challenging after 3d hole .... doglegs, tight & undulating small greens. Back nine more often ... water carries & placement of drive important.
Can't remember which hole but one on front nine needed 3 blind shots .... dogleg right almost made it a circle.
Tough if playing first time.
Very long drives with cart between holes.
Good condition & would try again.
Greens need some love
This is a nice course. Staff was helpful and friendly. On the day we played, pace was fine. We would like to note the following issues though: lack of holes maps on the score cards, no layout of the holes at tee off boxes, no poles at the 150ft...so, unless you are a member, you will not know where you should aim...everybody is complaining about slow play, yet there is very little done to equip players with the course knowledge or layout...staff mentioned that the yard ages are shown on the concrete path...when you Are in the middle of the fairway, who will go back to the concrete path to check the yardage...also shown on the sprinkler heads...you must first find one of them and hope that this specific one has yardage shown...how much does it cost to install a plastic pole in the fairway...10$ each....
The biggest issue with this course is that it is relatively expensive...yet the several greens are in poor shape...for the beginner, it could mean help as it might a good idea to just take a two putts and take off...however, for the low handicapper, this will be an issue...
Too bad, this is a nice place, and we would still recommend it.
Find another place to play
This was the 5th course I played in 5 days in Orlando and it was by far the worst of all. The greens were shaggy and slow and the fairways were weedy. This course needs some maintenance. It was interesting to see gators on 3 holes.
Good course friendly staff
Very good course with wide fairway. Greens were in good conditions. Played with a couple from Germany with very good chats along the way. Well maintained course but pace of play was super slow.
Great course but the greens are in very bad shape. Restaurant & pro sho[ staff is even worse.
It took us 15 minutes to get checked in at the pro shop. Neither guy behind the counter ever made eye contact with me & told me that I had to get cash from the ATM because their credit card system was down. Stopped in for a sandwich at the turn &that took another 10 minutes. Sat down in the restaurant after the round & it took over 15 minutes to get anyone to wait on us. This has always been one of my top three courses in Orlando but I doubt I'll come back any time soon.
Course good for beginners
Greenes in need of care.
Huge fairways , Waters no challenges
Pro Shop Staff questionable.
The kid seemed more interested in his cell phone than getting me to the first tee. Once I got to the first tee the starter was awesome. The course was in great shape. The greens ran fast and true. so it must have been my putter that missed!
The food in the restaurant was really good too, but the service was a little slow.
slow pace
The main thing that stood out about the day was how you had to wait at every hole. The pace of play was terrible. It could be blamed on the group two in front of us. By the time we got to the 12th hole, the group in front of us was still on the tee waiting for the group in front of them. There was nobody on holes 13 and 14. That's how far behind we were. It would be nice to have rangers to let groups know to keep up the pace or let people play through.
Beautiful course on beautiful gated community
Lovely scenery, surrounded by houses but not close enough to cause problems. Sparing use of water features. Fairly wide fairways in excellent condition make it difficult to lose balls. Quite a few sand traps. Some greens a bit bare but otherwise in good condition. Rangers around to ensure pace of play. Highly recommended.
Excellent Course, some Greens require attention
Played the Oaks Course and we were one of the 1st groups to tee off in the early a.m., pace of play was excellent. The course is nestled amongst the homes in the Solivita Community, and cart paths are well marked to find your way along the course. Would be nice if there was a GPS on the cart as the course was lacking in visible yardage markers, although you can purchase a course description booklet for a few dollars in the clubhouse. Fairways are wide enough to keep you out of trouble, & plenty of well placed bunkers to keep you honest. Some greens were in poor condition, and no doubt will require attention over the nicer months to bring them back to pristine condition! Received an excellent rate on GolfNow, and highly recommend this course!
Disappointed being a "GN Guest" but a course well worth the trip
This is a great looking course that needs only a little work on some of the greens to be an excellent place to play. According to some members, a few greens on the Oaks have developed some "blight" issues. The staff was very good to the members who were playing that day but seemed "cold" to us with the Golf Now voucher. Several members were likewise. They made us feel like we were intruding on their course as opposed to being guests. Ironically, there was a member-guest event going on at both courses as we played. We played with a member who was the exception. He was friendly and helpful with playing hints around the course. He phoned the pro shop for us to get a new cart as our cart died after 5 holes. The starter did not have any traditional handicap flags for our cart. He suggested that I use discretion but he did give me permission to approach greens and some fairway locations with my cart. I am a handicap player who has difficulty walking distances, especially on uneven ground. This created a problem for other golfers who questioned what I was doing off the cart paths approaching greens and where my ball was located on some fairways. I always used the 30-40 foot discretion from tees, greens and hazards. Such flags should be available to those of us that "need" them on a course, all of the time.
I would go back to this course with a my hdcp flag for my cart to avoid issues with other golfers. I would also suggest to my friends to consider playing there.
Fantastic golf course... Members not so much!
The golf course is fantastic and the pace of play was just fine for an 80 degree day in Feb. The practice area is exceptional and all the amenities are at your disposal. The problem is the course resides in a housing community and they are not very warm to "non members". If you have thick skin it's the best $35 round of golf in Kissimmee. FYI traffic getting to course and leaving course could be catastrophic depending on the time of day.
Typical Golf course
Typical golf course in Central Florida with houses on each hole and water too. You must play with your brain at this course because water is everywhere. Staff was friendly and ours partners too.
I have played both courses now.
Having played both sides now. I liked both. I would play the Oaks side again. Fairways wider and course more player friendly. Cypress more challenging with some blind shots and require ball placements. Both very enjoyble!
Doctor
Has been a lot of rain, that could account for the poor conditions of some of the greens.
best courses
Of our 2 weeks stay in Orlando, both courses were our favorite and best maintained , we all felt in love for stonegate courses
Great Day
