Slow play

Played this course, it was in very good condition. The staff (the 2, I actually saw) were pleasant. There was no cart person, no rangers were present. The starter and pro both stated golf was 4 hours. Took 4:52 minutes

Would love to play this course again but not sure i would risk it again for 5 hours...

Great course at a great price.

The course was in great condition! Even after heavy rain pretty much all week there was no flooding. The course drains extremely well. Definitely a challenge for players of all skill levels. Only downfall is that it is a pretty long drive from the northeast or northwest side of Orlando. Regardless of the drive, I can't wait to return.

Excellent value

My wife and I played this course yesterday and had a wonderful time. Course was very well maintained and staff was courteous and friendly. We were off at 10am, and only saw a couple other groups the entire day. We let a solo player play through, but pretty much had the course to ourselves and played at a casual pace. Ordered a Chicken Sandwich ahead of time which we picked up through the turn. Sandwich, drinks (bloody mary), and sweet potatoe fries were all excellent. Great experience.

Nice course that will be better in a few weeks

This is a great course, We played on the 4th of July and they were Sanding and Fertilizing the GREENS right in front of us.
It made for some tough putts
Everything should be back to normal in a week or two.

Glad the Oaks was on Golf Now. Great value for a very nice course.

My son and I played the Oaks course at Stonegate. He played the blues and I played the whites. It was a challenge for both of us. The course was in great shape in spite of recent, heavy rains. I can't wait to try the course again. It is a good test of golf, especially if you hit from the back tees. DL

Fairways in great condition

It was very difficult to play with the cart path only rule. We found the fairways were dry and drive able.

This golf community continues to impress

A few weeks ago, I posted a review of Stonegate off my first visit after winning a golf package in a charity auction rasing money for the United Way. That review was after I played the Cypress course and I was very impressed. This time, I played the Oaks course and was even more impressed. Honestly, just the cart ride up to the first tee told me this was going to be an enjoyable round of golf. It is a beautiful Par 5 and the hole, as the rest of the fairways on the course, was in magnificent condition. One difference between Oaks and Cypress was that I found myself pulling 3 metal on more tees on Oaks either due to the length of the hole or to hit the safer shot and avoid hazards. This was my second afternoon visit to Stonegate and the majority of the members were done playing for the day, leaving a very fast pace of play. Oaks also is less spread out on the Solivita property than the Cypress course, which actually requires a gate code to play an 18th hole that is very isolated. I really love this property and highly recommend it to the summer afternoon player who wants to get in a quality round in about three hours.

Most Enjoyable

Had a most enjoyable afternoon at the 'Oaks' course. The tees, fairways and greens were all in excellent condition and the course was visually stunning and a decent degree of difficulty to make you concentrate. This seems to be part of a retired persons complex and they are lucky old golfers to have this on their doorstep. We ate here as well and the food and coffee were very good. This course will be top of my list on a return visit.

OUTSTANDING

Great course in excellent condition. This is a wonderful layout, the greens are tough to read but run true. I don't think I saw a weed on the greens or fairways. Hat off to the grounds keepers and a very well done.
