excellent place to play
From the time you drive in to the time you leave you feel very welcomed at this lovely resort. the staff are very friendly and helpfull. The Oaks course that we played is in great shape and has wide inviting fairways but don't be fooled an errant shot will cost you greatly. The bunkers that i did find and consistant and great to play from, everything you'd expect from a top course and facility. We enjoyed not only playing there but being there. the pace was good and not slow. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to play that is in the area :). I will be playing here again and will also try the cypress course.

Very nice course
This course is very fair but yet challenging. The tee boxes are well kept. The fairways grass is short but nice. The greens are slower then some other courses I've played but they are in good shape
Nicely manicured course
Plush carpeted fairways. Visually pleasing. Greens fast & true. Easy to find balls in roughs when not in fairways. Carts w/ rain shields & bag cover for afternoon Florida rains.
Great design
The Oaks is a wonderful Ron Garl design with country club fairways, lots of great looks from the tee boxes and challenging greens. The back tees are all you can handle, but there are multiple tees to make anyone's play an enjoyable encounter. Nature surrounds you here with deer, turkey, gators and water fowl checking out your game. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Grille Room had good food and service as well.

I play here regularly in the afternoons when the golfnow prices drop to under $20 in the summer. The course is maintained excellently; staff are friendly and "The Grill" is a great place to eat afterwards. Pace of play is also excellent (at least in the summer months)!
Great course lots of challenges
The course is in great shape....very good golf for the price. With lots of challenges with bunkers and water to content with. Be sure to choose your clubs wisely, I did find I had to use one club up from what I would normally use.
I did play both of the courses that they offer at StoneGate and I would play either one on any given day....enjoy the golfing
