Water Oak Golf Club

We golf this course periodically. This year it has been in pretty good shape. The fairways are great. The roughs are rough, sometimes bare ground. The greens are small but in good shape. There are some great elevation changes. And some challenging holes. We like it.

One of the best shape courses in the area, including The Villages golf courses.

This is a 55+ course that has a great layout. not a pushover but really fun. Hole #10 is an awesome hole. Greens are good and some Fairways are spotty,however, we are in Florida

Played the course on a beautiful but very windy day. The course is extremely tight and undulating. It was such a surprise. I had not expected to enjoy it as much as i did. There are many holes that when you tee off you have no view of where the fairway is because it is way over the hill. Lots of roll down the hills. Greens were amazingly beautifully manicured.

I will go again. Enjoyed it very much. Two holes that cross the water are quite challenging.

Overall good course except fairways a little to close to each other

Course was in good shape. Greens, fairways, and tees were full grass and a nice green color. Very few bare spots. Just a little long and slow. Rough was going dormant and sandy in places. Easy to find wayward balls, but still difficult on some recovery shots and in the trees. Traps were full of sand, but there's not too many on the course. The course is mostly open, but some of the holes are tight next to each other and tree lined. A few dog legs around trees and water. Surprisingly large elevation changes on some holes. A good amount of water lines and crosses a few holes. There are some diabolical forced carries over it. A couple greens are pretty small area wise. Most greens have a good amount of undulation. And a few greens have elevation slope that would be terrifying if the green speed was anywhere near fast. Staff was very friendly and nice.

For the most part the course was in good condition except for hole 8 being closed due to very heavy rainfall a few days previous. Nice clubhouse and restaurant. Good parking area. Cart worked well. Greens in very good condition. A few areas of mud were around the course also because of the recent rains.

Course was a bit wet today so no carts allowed on fairways. Clubhouse closed for a special event so couldn't rate that amenity. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'll be back and will recommend it to playing partners.

the front nine were very slow, behind a shotgun that was finishing, after that the pace was great. Course had grass on the greens, fairways, and tees. They just overseeded so it was rough only.

This was the first time that we were back to this course in the last 2 months. They have done a good job considering how much rain and flooding this course had this summer. It is a good challenge from either the white or back tees. Small greens. Lots of big oak trees and some shots over water. The layout is too tight the first three holes, but I really like back 9 holes. Some nice elevation changes. We'll be back.

Could only play first six holes and last 3 holes because of course conditions. And were able to play those same 9 holes twice for our 18 hole round. By second round we got better and improved and almost got hole in one on a par 3.

Will be back again soon and hope to play the ones we did not get to play.

This course is challenging enough. The staff is always very friendly. They keep the greens and tee boxes in very good shape. The fairways could be improved but the overall value is very good.
