Legends Walk at Orange Lake Resort
About
Orange Lake Resort & Country Club boasts two Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses as well as two other courses, a championship and a nine-hole course. Arnold Palmer designed the most popular course at the club, the Legends, as well as the nine-hole Legends Walk. The latter course is reminiscent of a time when golfers would make their way through the links on foot. The 1,581-yard layout is an ideal walking course, offering both scenery and interesting challenges. the course features rolling fairways and water hazards. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers lurking treacherously along some of the greens. Palmer designed the course to be approachable to a wide range of players. There are five sets of diverse tees that give golfers the option to match the course exactly to their skill level.

LEGENDS WALK
IF YOU ARE A GOLFER......DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE. THE DESCRIPTION ON GOLFNOW IS INCORRECT.
I walked up to the first tee.......it was 100 yards and the three gentlemen.......with rented clubs ...were still not on the green in 4 shots each.
I turned around and asked for my money back and they could not refund the money because it was bought on golfnow.
I was out the greens fes on this course plus the green fees for the course I ended up playing.
Easy quick round until.....
Easy Par 3 course. Greens were ok, fairway a little sparse. Went very quick for the fist 6 holes. No one in fro nod me. The 7th hole took me almost the same time as the first six combined. Great course to bring the kids or to learn too golf.
Great 9 Hole Executive
Great executive course at a great price. We always enjoy the different tests that this course affords.
Great Practice
This is an easliy walkable course with sandtraps' placments making it a nice challenge. It is great place to practise all your shots. It is an excellent value for novice to experieced players who like to walk. It is a good venue to help my brother-in-law develop his game.
Course was okay ... Thought the fairways would be better
Host was not friendly ... Must not like his job. Offered nothing in the way of welcoming us back , how did we like the course, where were we from etc .... Almost seemed like we were a bother to him.
Nice 9 Hole walking course
The Greens were in excellent shape and rolled really well. The tee boxes offer you several different yardages. There are a couple holes that measured over 200 yards. Nice holes to practice using your hybrids. The sand traps were the real thing and designed to be able to play out of them. This course is worth trying and a great 9 hole course to work on your iron game and get some excercise. Pull carts were nice. Will play again on my next trip to Orange Lake.
Worth it with GN deals
Got to play this 9 holes course for 8$ why a deal found on GN.com including pull cart. Not a spectacular course but the tee box and greens are in great shape. the rough was a bit dry and yellow so it didn't look it's best. Holes are located around the north village so you have condos all around. If you find a deal on GN.com it's well worth it!
9 holes
Didn't realize it was a walking course. Had a fun time with it and good course conditions.
sucks
your golf course left me un happy. the courses conditions were in poor condition and I was mad I paid what I did.
Great little walking course
Even though it is a par three course, the placement of the hazards makes it a little challenging for the average golfer. It meanders through the resort and is a pretty setting.
Unfortunately the weather was light rain but we still had a good time. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a nice walking course.
Great Quick Resort Course
My family has a timeshare at Orange Lake and this was our first golfing experience at the resort. Being able to play a quick 9 holes was great! I'm a beginner and haven't been on too many courses, but the greens were in excellent shape. Even got a birdie! I definitely recommend this course for anyone who just wants to play a fast, fun game in Florida.
Par 27
The Legends Walk is a par 27 course 9 hole course. Enough said! You have to hit the greens with a 50% 2 putt average. My average score is 32-25. It's a blast to play at night.
Great beginner course and iron tune-up for better players.
My wife and I played this course twice the week before Christmas and were pleasantly surprised. My wife has just recently taken up golf and doesn't hit a long ball and was not intiminated by it's length. I used my irons and found it a great way to work them for my short and mid range game. Course was in great shape and the greens were true and smooth. It had been dry so there was no water in waste drainage areas, but the greens were guarded by numerous sand traps that were in good shape. This course is also lit for night play but we didn't play at night.
Very Challenging for a Par-3
The lighting for the course could be improved. There were 3 tee boxes at each hole, the lights were on only one of them. The fairways had very little lighting and with many of the holes playing at close to 200 yards, they could use more lights. This would be a good course to play in the daylight, as the course is very challenging for a par-3. This was my first time playing night golf and I still had a lot of fun!
Good bang for you buck
Good deal on Golf Now. Free pull cart, nice little practice course.
Good course to improve your short game
Played for 12 dollars, thanks to Golfnow.
Nice little course, few players. Green in good condition. Many bunkers forcing us to play well. Good deal, we will come back soon.
Great for practicing getting out of the sand. Can play under the lights
Very good course for beginners and that is what it is mainly used for. Kids golf free when accompanied by an adult. makes play slow at times when beginners are on the course. Staff are super friendly.
Love this course
We played at night with a group of 7 folks, It was a blast! The course is in terrific shape, greens run true! Awesome experience!
Excellent.
180 yard holes w lots of bunkers- surprisingly good. Best par 3 course in the area.
Nice course to learn and practice on.
Suggest the course administration advise family's be careful when walking on the course. It's really not safe for children to play around.
