About
The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7505 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 142 and a 76.6 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Unfortunately, the climate of recent has not been conducive to healthy turf growth, but we expect that as the weather warms up again, that the vibrancy of the turf will again return.-Management Photo submitted by Ah1122 on 03/24/2021

Golfer Reviews
Love Magnolia
This course is the nicest, and most difficult course on Disney property. No matter what you’re looking for, this course has it. Will definitely play here again.
Great Course
Great course with all expectations met.
Fast greens, well placed hazards, good quantity of bunkers with great sand.
Multiple tee box choices for all types of players.
Starter was way too abrupt and borderline rude. He left a very bad taste especially bad for anyone to start the game feeling upset. All other staff were great courteous and very helpful.
I would highly recommend the course to anyone. Starters are easily replaced.
Disney quality with great conditions
Nice course all the way around but pace was pretty slow
Great greens and fairways and staff are nice
Challenging course with good carts
Good price $72 for 18 at 1050 am.
Shades of Green Magnolia Course
Beautiful course layout, amazing scenery. It’s a bit challenging, but not so difficult that you won’t enjoy it. It was hot, but that’s expected in August. The try to accommodate as much as possible, they even have an employee bring out cooling towels on the course. If you golf and vacation at Shades of Green, you got to play at least one of the courses.
Disney Magnolia
Another excellent Disney course. The course was in good shape even after some rain the previous weekend. The course was car path only. Some of the bunkers were in bad shape also. The lay out of the course was great. The back nine holes has few holes that didn’t match our personal gps system. The staff was friendly with one or two exceptions. No good restaurants within walking distance of the course, shape of green restaurant about 3 min walk which after the car path only for us was a no go. Will play again if the opportunity comes up in the future.
Challenging but fun
This course can be quite tricky but also enjoyable. It definitely brings out a mix of golfing levels and can affect the pace of place so if your looking for a quick round this is not it. The staff here are remarkable. The course is generally well maintained however when it’s cart path only it’s a lot of walking ( we experienced a few holes like this)
I wouldn’t pay full price - walk up on the day rate. But if you can grab a deal or good rate around $99 max pp it’s worth it.
Stunning
From the staff to the course, it was an amazing experience, the course layout is tough and some holes easier for beginners like myself, would love to come back again
Wonderful
Great resort course. Plenty of room off the tee, with only a couple tight holes. Very good variety of par threes.
Greens in good to great shape.
Good speed.
Beautiful well maintained
I enjoyed , green is slow but fair way is well maintained , course in great condition
My favorite course in Orlando
The Disney courses are ones that you can definitely see that it's a PGA level course. Long, challenging, but also open and approachable. I think its the mire straightforward and fun layout of the palm/mag duo. Turf is always is near perfect condition. Staff is all fantastic. I've probably played here 15 times, and it's always a great time
Worth a visit
Golf with some Disney vibes. Nice course but the greens were slow and sandy as they had recently been punched so need some growth to recover. Buggy with GPS and ice bucket. We will play again
