The Club at Eaglebrooke
About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Eagle
Nice lies all day and great greens but grass thin on driving range .Clubhouse attendant and club cleaner were great. No starter, perhaps with later tee times they go home. Will continue to drive 45 minutes from Valrico to play 4-5 times a year… premium course.
Had the course to ourselves!
Great day at Eaglebrooke. Interacted with at least 4 employees and ALL were kind and friendly! An early morning weekday round and we didn't wait on a single shot. Course is a very fun layout. It was extremely wet from the rains as of late; CPO on holes 8-18, but that didn't detract from the experience. The greens are smooth and roll true, with decent speed. The greens held shots easily but were still firm under the feet. Recommend you play this course- even with our 1 hour drive it was worth it. A treat!
Nice course but it was cart path only and very wet but they still charged us full rate. My experience is that usually when this happens most courses at least let you no in advance and give a reduced rate.

Have golfed here at least 19-20 times.
This is the first time that I have seen weeds in the fairway.
I can’t rate the greens as they were just punched the week before.
The starter/ cart man was excellent. Friendly and was able to get me out early.
A group of elderly gentleman went out at 8:00 and we at 9:00 and we caught them on the 8th hole.
After that the pace of play was brutal.
I don’t understand why if you play slow and you must know you are slow by looking back and seeing 2 groups waiting for you why you don’t let everyone play through.
We do.
The staff in the bar (Jennifer) was great as always.
This is one of my favorite courses in Florida and it could be yours if you just give it a try.
Tough but fun
Fairways are nice and wide but have some crazy undulating hills. Always stay left of the water since a lot of holes have water. Otherwise and great course and would definitely recommend
Great course
Afternoon tee time, had course to myself. Course is in excellent condition. Greens are lightning fast and fairways are in great condition as well.
New management, moving in the wrong direction.
The rough needs mowing, the prices have increased. Tee times overbooked, not a good visit back to Eaglebrooke after a 6 month break.
Nice course
Played on a cart path only day. Fairways were in good condition; just had to move the ball to a dry spot a couple of time. Greens rolled true and were at average speed. Had a great time Had lunch in the restaurant when finished. Slightly above average I’d say. No beer cart the day I played
