Positives:

Course is awesome and in great shape. Accuracy is a must. Greens are fast.

Staff was OUTSTANDING! All aspects.

Cons:

Pace was a little slow. The Marshall was all over it and was honestly doing everything he could.

Living in Tampa, this was the first time driving over to Lakeland to play. 45 minute drive, but we’ll worth it. Probably not a regular stop because the peak season rates are a little steep, but the occasional round or when clients/friends need a challenge, I will be back.

I have never been disappointed playing this course. My group of friends play all over the Tampa Bay area. This course is always in great shape. The course got a little backed up at one time but a ranger came by and got things moving. We played in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Could have cut maybe 20 minutes off or so but that wasn’t really a concern. They take care of problems before they arise and I have always been pleased with this golf course.

As always, good speed on the greens and a fantastic layout.

A must-play course

Outstanding experience from the main gate to the clubhouse to the course. The course conditions and people were excellent. It’s worth the drive from Orlando if you have time.

This is a great tester and if you're a 14 handicap or below get ready not to shoot your norm! The GN fees were high compared to online direct billing so please check that until GN gets them in line. Slow 5 hour round due to crowds and it being a tough course.

We'll play again and again!

The more we play this course, the more we like it more. Ron Garl is one of our favorite golf course designers and this one may be our favorite.

The fairways were the best we've seen in a few months, the greens were fast and consistent, (even though we played on a Monday and they had just top dressed with light sand and water).

Hope to get back as often as we can.

This is a great place to play! The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. They knew this was my first time to play and was courteous enough to give me a tour of the course. The starter was super friendly as well and even asked me how my round was after finishing up. Definitely will be playing here again

What a beautiful course! Greens were awesome, staff could not have been more friendly. Pace was a bit slow on the back 9 but staff was apologetic . It was a Sunday afternoon round so not a surprise. Layout is great and I loved the course. Everyone there was great!

Course conditions were generally good. Greens a little too grainy and firm. Pace of play good on front nine but funereal on back nine. No grass on practice tee that was open. Staff was friendly and courteous. Will plan to return later this winter.
