About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Golfer Reviews
excellent golf course
only had 1 small complaint which was the tee markers weren't set on the tees they were off to the side you really had to look for some of them.
Can’t beat it
They’ve been preparing the course for a US amateur qualifying tournament so the course is in fantastic condition and especially for this time of year you absolutely can’t beat this place for around $50. Greens are in fantastic condition and so was everything else.
Thank you so much for your review! We are happy to see you enjoyed our course. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back in the future.
Worth Every Penny
First of all, I want to say that I have heard nothing. Uh amazing things about the course coming into the round and I was not disappointed. Nothing negative can be said about the conditions of the course. The tee boxes were cut to a perfect height, the greens were fast and rolled true, the fairways were clearly defined and in terrific conditions, and the sand was all manicured and tended to. The routing of the course features significantly more elevation change than you would think. There were several holes of felt as if you were hitting into the side of a hilll only to make a dramatic left hand or right hand turn. It was noted several times by my playing partners that the course seemingly has 18 signature holes. I cannot wait for my next experience at Eaglebrook.

Eaglebrook Lakeland, Fl
First time on the course and I was certainly impressed! Beautiful course, challenging yet rewarding along the way. Great condition! Definitely will play there again!

Great shape
Course is in great shape in spite of the recent rains. Pin placements are tough and greens are definitely not easy to putt.

Great course!
From start for finish this is a great test of golf on some of the best holes in the area. Definatly worth playing.

Top Dressed Greens, Wet Areas
The greens are top dressed, so prepare for inconsistent speed on putts and random wedge/approach shots stopping abruptly. I would give it at least two weeks before I would consider playing the course if you want a decent chance at making a putt in one.
The course itself is in fairly good conditions, although there are a number of spots that are extremely wet, likely the result of recent rain and inadequate drainage infrastructure. While it may not impede a very good golfer, as the dampness was mainly along the edges of the holes, there was some impact around the green, which is of particular issue with the pin placements that are on the front and likely expect the majority of golfers to land short and have the ball bounce on for an optimal position (you won't get that bounce with the wetness, and could see occasional plugging in the current conditions).
Pace of play was horrible. It will become real obvious on the last three holes which are all visible from the 16th tee, and you can see the only group within that segment is the group in front of you. There was no apparent ranger on the course during our round. Expect a long day.
At this price point I would expect GPS in the cart, it is fairly custom in Florida at this price point, particularly as it typically enhances pace of play. I would recommend a range finder, particularly if you intend to play from the back tees, or near the back, as the course will have you clear water on multiple occasions, and a range finder will ensure you don't try to bight off more than you can chew.
I believe in an ideal condition, the course is potentially worth a hot deal (namely because of the back nine's course layout, in particularly 17 and 18), the front nine isn't worth mentioning).
Thank you for your review. We take your opinions seriously, and are constantly looking to improve the customer experience. Please feel free to reach out to us at info@eaglebrooke.com to discuss your concerns further.
Great course
Always love this course. They space there times apart enough that we play a lot of rounds in 3 or 3/12 hours.

Best course in Lakeland
I would have given it 5 stars if the greens were fast, but they were a little fury and rolling about 8-1/2, I prefer 11, they are normally faster.

Wow, Wow, Wow

Play here when I find a good price.
We play here when we get a deal. It is one of the nicer courses in the Lakeland area as it is well manacured. It has a great layout and probably the best two finishing holes in all the greater Tamp area.

Poor condition due to rain
Cart path only in 90 degrees weather is not ideal. Course had rain the day before, and fairways were in poor shape. If it rains a day or two before, I just can’t recommend playing here. Overall, it’s a beautiful course. The downsides are poor signs as the holes snake through the neighborhood. Range balls are horrible. Glad I only paid $4 for 24 balls; a third was so bad that you can’t even see the dimples. Fairways in rough shape.
Thank you for leaving your feedback. We understand your comments on the course. Unfortunately, we have received 14" of rain in August. The golf course is saturated, and we cant seem to get a day or two without rain to help dry us out. Here in a couple weeks the rainy season will be behind us:) I know from experience, the course is not fun to play when we are on stuck on the cart paths. Additionally, new range balls are scheduled to be put out as soon as we dry out (Early October). Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope to see you soon!
Beautiful layout, great course for the price
I was staying in Brandon for the weekend and decided to look around. Overall great experience for the price. Excellent green conditions. The fairways were pretty wet secondary to overnight storms but you could tell that they're also in great conditions. It was car path only but since I played early in the morning it was not much of an issue. Cart girl was not too nice. Pace of play was excellent. Will definitely check this place back again.
