About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

Golfer Reviews
Good
Second round this week and will not be our last. Some difficult hole configurations but great test under good conditions! . Loved the experience !
The back nine
Staff was extremely pleasant course was in great shape watch out for the back nine . Play discourse once year for the last 15 years finally got a par on hole number two
Awesome course!!!
- very friendly staffs, we were late due to traffic and new to the area, they were very willingly try to accommodate our group of 11 players, the course is very beautifully and challenging design but yet very fun to play, I would definitely come back to play again..
Nice track in excellent condition.
Still love this course even though it's a Lille pricier than last I played it two seasons ago. Play as a treat for myself now. Challenging but fair. Typical Florida course with plenty of water in play. Second shot course with generous fairways.
A solid golf experience. Plenty of challenge with typical Florida wind creating some additional difficulties at times. Interesting layout with lots of water and some carries over hazards to avoid.
Staff were most helpful in assisting us with the selection of a course to play later in the week.
Course was a bit difficult to find even with car GPS and some road construction causing delay.
Pace of play was good and we rarely saw other golfers as things moved along
Great but pricey course
Eaglebrooke is among my favorite FL courses. It's in great shape, and it's a fun and challenging layout. Probably not the best choice for the high handicapper. Great practice facilities and very nice staff add to the positive golf experience. Although Eaglebrooke is admittedly an all-around nice course, it's price-tag is a drawback since I play golf almost daily, and it keeps me from playing there as often as I'd like to. I hope to treat myself to one more Eaglebrooke round before heading north in the spring.
Great layout but SLOW greens
Loved the layout of the course, but the greens are too slow to justify playing again. Putts stop like Velcro.
Fantastic course!
I've played many course in the Central Florida area and I have to say this is one of the nicest courses I have had the pleasure of playing. From tee box to greens the course was in great shape. Challenging yet fair fairways with quick greens. I can't wait to play this course again!
Club Staff
The club staff is friendly and very helpful. Club house, restaurant, beverage cart, starter, Randy all did a most cordial job. Will return again to Eaglebrooke. Thanks.
Fabulous Course
Each time I visit FL, I try and play a round at this course. It is a quality course, very well maintained, and worth playing on a repeated basis. Very good value for this level of a course.
Friendly staff, great course, greens could have been faster
Very friendly, helpful staff. Make you feel welcome. Course is a beautiful design, challenging but fair. Conditions were perfect! Greens were a bit slow and grainy. Very slow uphill putts, and rolled better downhill. Bounced a bit putting uphill and into the grain. Great course for the money. Highly recommend.
Fun challenging course!
Played as a single on a Tuesday right behind a league. I let them get a few holes in front of me and I never saw them. I loved this course. The staff was there to make this place first rate from the minute you entered to the time you left! Thank you!!! The course itself was great! I absolutely loved the layout and I loved all the fun angles and different tee boxes to change up the angles and yardages. Greens were rolling well, but not fast. I would prefer a quicker green, but that's nit-picking. The one and only downside I saw about the course was the lack of yardages, especially on the forced carry tee shots. There were a couple forced lake carries as well that required some exact yardages to certain angles and those would have been nice to have. I didn't see a yardage book in the pro shop and wasn't offered one as first time player so I'm just assuming they didn't have one. Carts with GPS would have been a great value add. All in all though, I'll be back!!!
Best course in the area
From the minute your clubs are taken out of the vehicle to the time they are cleaned on the 18th green - this club meets every expectation! Staff is welcoming to all golfers regardless of skill or age! After checking in, one can enjoy the likes of a great warm up area with range balls, chipping area and putting green suitable for more than 7-9 golfers. The course is well orchestrated through a well manicured community of probably 300 homes. Fairways are tight but forgiving — spend the few bucks in a yardage book or get an app and have faith in what it says, the holes are more generous than they look. My favorite part of the course - unwinding and having a cold one. Only distraction from my rating - I feel their price is high for the area not for the value of what the course is truly valued at. Put this course in a major city and they could easily charge nothing less than three figures for a greens fee.
Play to the left
Excellent course, met a friend there from out of town, and he raved about it. One of the better courses that he has played during his time in Florida. I certainly agree...fair but a challenge. Will definitely return..!
Great layout
Very nice layout. Iverall course was in
great shape, but the greens need to be faster. Highly recommend
