Ibis Landing Golf & Country Club

Despite much recent rain m course well drained and manicured. Greens in great shape . Very challenging layout, with water, narrow fairways and large, undulating* greens. Great time!

This a nice golf course that’s always in excellent condition with knowledgeable and friendly staff!

From the UK and have been visiting the Ft Myers’s area for over 30 years and in that time played many of the older and newer courses over the years. First time playing IBIS and was impressed with many aspects of the course. First the driving range wasn’t just about hitting balls into a lake they had water but also greens to hit towards offering something different. The course itself had a great mixture of short and long par 4’s and had asked you to play the draw and fade on various holes. I thought the 3rd home par three was a beautiful home not long only about 130 yards but all across water with a lovely rock face feature. The 13th another par three was completely different and over 230 yards across the swamp to the green. Great hole and with no bailouts it was all or nothing. The par 5’s also had a good mix of variety. The first hole which was a par 5 asked for a good drive across the lake going right to left with approach narrowing due to the trees. My only criticism was the amount of construction of the new road separating the 1st to the 2nd and the 6th to the 7th. Due to this the par 3 sixth was playing extremely short and spoilt what was overall a great course and somewhere I would definitely play again when I’m back in the area. The finishing hole was playing approximately 340 yards so not long but with water running continuously down the right hand side with the fairway shaped left to right and depending on the hole location playing across the water to the green. Great finishing hole asking a few questions.

To me IBIS was a good challenge and not your traditional Florida golf course.

Once the new clubhouse is completed and the road intersecting the course is completed the course will be ready to host some good competitions and I look forward to returning.

Super friendly staff and very accommodating. The vourse was laid out well and the greens were fast and rolled true.

The course is only a couple of years old and the fairways were a little sparce in places, not terrible nut noticeable. Give this course another 2 years and when everything fills in it will be a great place to play.

Had a great day at Ibis. The course is in great condition. One hole had a temporary tee box due to some construction, no big deal. The only issue was there was no one else on my tee time, so I went out as a single between all foursomes. Fortunately, the guys in front of me were nice enough to let me join up with them. It's worth a try, it has one of the more interesting layouts around.

The greens are all aerated and putting is a mess, carts are not allowed to drive on half of the holes because the drainage, which is so poor; the fairways are water logged. It’s like playing in the middle of a construction zone because there is so much building activity going on it’s impossible to concentrate. One par three has a temporary tee box, and the hole measures only 50 yards. This place is not cheap, and because of the bad conditions, there should be a significant price reduction. Finally, there is a governor on the carts, and your speed is restricted for no reason in certain parts of the course.

I forgot how fun this course is. It’s unlike most courses here in SW Florida. There are some nice elevation changes throughout the course. Some nice dog legs too. Have to think about each shot. Played on a Saturday and was surprised on how open it was.

I always enjoy playing this course. It's in great shape and based on which tee box you play from, the course can be more or less challenging. Staff is generally friendly, which is appreciated. The course was not very crowded, so pace of play was great. I was with 2 newer golfers, so this worked out great. Only 2 minor complaints: the practice area was a bit worn and the greens still has a lot of sand, probably from a recent aeration. Also, there's a lot of construction going on, which is a little annoying, but nothing we can do about it. I also don't like it when you stray a little too far with the carts, and suddenly they shut down and you have to reverse out. Just give us a warning.

Greens were recently punched and weren’t notified. My #2 golf pet peeve other than slow play. Also #10 played from fairway at a terrible angle. Please tell us greens have been punched and offer a discount. This adversely affects the customer experience.
