Ibis Landing Golf & Country Club

I am a glass half full kinda guy. Playing in a tournament here soon I thought I'd better get over and check it out. A great lay out overall, demanding but a fun course. I could play this course everyday. The greens are fast and very firm and this along with some undilation you get to put more than other courses. A par 71, course that on paper you would think you would destroy, just tear it up, go low, leaves you scratching your head when your done. Course is in a rebuilding stage from old Copprrhead days. It reminds me of Heritage landing, but much tougher. Not a normal Florida course. Not a cookie cutter by any means. If you have not played here recently, get out to Lehigh Acres and play a really good track.

It has been completely redone, much better than the old one, Copper head. Slow play can be a problem. Worth playing.

First hole is so awkward, the rest of the course follows suit. You will be surrounded by dump trucks and bulldozers making for a very loud round. The cart paths cross actual construction zones and you will dodge dump trucks. Has potential in a few years, but definitely do not understand any of the positive reviews. You get what you pay for, Lehigh is a sketchy area and the course is not good.

I understand this course was recently renovated and much improved in quality and design. Lots of interesting holes but playable all around for golfers of all skill levels. But you do have to control you ball which was tough in a 2-club wind which was a cross wind on nearly every hole based on how the layout is.

Greens were lightning fast but reliable so scoring was fair. Generous fairways (as it should be) with no undue hazards on approaches.

A great value for the quality of course and conditioning.

One of my top 5 courses. The rough is that what you expect on the US Open. Greens are running fast and pins are protected by bunkers, water and sloped fronts from 1- 3. 4- 6 have different approaches to make it easier for beginners & ......
