Palm Cove Golf and Yacht Club

Palm Cove greens have always been medium fast and always true and with the rain the fairways are in excellent conditions. I have always thought the first was too hard to begin a round, when the course was Cutter Sound this hole was number 10 which is more appropriate. Other than that most other holes are fair and more playable. My wife and I enjoy the course and will return.

I love a good challenging course. However, the houses are clearly more important to the community owners than this course. So many issues. The layout is awful, the most narrow fairways with zero forgiveness even though I always hit straight drives.

Forget about the top paragraph, because that’s not the worst of the issues. The grass cutting on the greens by whoever cuts the grass was AWFUL. Nearly every green you can notice edges on the green with thicker grass. Nearly every green at least had 5 patches of brown grass as well.

There were also a fair share of dried up tee boxes with little to no green grass. The bunkers were in rough shape (which yes, it was likely because of the rain, that’s acceptable). Also, there were many areas where rough grass was over growing. Even before the green on one of the first holes, the grass was over growing on the fringe and before the green.

I don’t mind losing golf balls in my rounds of golf - so the aspect of a tough course is great and all until you have poor course conditions.

We will not be coming back. Pretty horrendous course. Worst in the area in my personal opinion. Much better options for cheaper.

Pay the price: I did with many lost balls. Tight, hidden and forced-carry fairways will make for a challenging day on the course...but fun if you have the right frame of mind. Generally the course was in good shape but had a few bald spots in the fairways and greens. Nothing terrible and should be corrected as we progress through the wet season. This felt like a personal course because I saw only two other groups the entire time. Great value this time of year and time of day (mid day). Staff was verry friendly. The ony downside, and I shouldn't characterize it that way because it forces you to think hard about your shot, was that they don't have GPS in their carts or too many yardage markers on the course. Rather, they provide you with a yardage book which is very upscale-old school. I like this place and put it in my regular rotation.

Enjoyed it. Wish the clubhouse would open earlier but overall great golfing experience.

Palm Cove Yacht and Golf Club is the second course we’ve played in the Palm City area and they just keep getting better and better. This course has maybe one of the best and funnest layouts. Tricky shots when needed, wide open fairways on others.

Very great full for gentleman in clubhouse explaining layout (which if you can’t read signs) may get confused…..! “Gator Trap” is challenging if you’re not on with shots.

Staff super friendly and very, very helpful.

Highly recommend this gem to anyone.
