About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Good for the price
Good layout and decent condition. Weekend pulls in hackers and no ranger to help. 4.5 hour round
Weekdays are better pace. Will play again. 15 handicap.

Slow play
Course allows five sums to play. Old men that were slow.

Challenging but fair.
I enjoy this course and play here often because it combines open approaches with tricky pin placements and fast greens. I'm not a great golfer so I want enjoy the round. If you hit a stray shot you can usually find your ball and get back in position to get close. Good mix of bunkers, water and terrain. Practice area includes bunkers, chipping , driving and putting. Staff is friendly and prices are fair

Pin placement much better.
Played nice no slow pace greens were fast but true. Fairways are tight but manageable to hit off of sand is real sand 4 1/2 stars overall.

Good place
I’ve played this course several times.
The layout is wide open, with a few water hazards throughout.
The conditions were a bit dry but that’s to be expected in Florida this time of year.
The crew were very friendly and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend this course for all skill levels

Slow pace, ok greens, wide open off tee
I read so much about the special greens here. 1sr hole had repair spots and dead spots. They steadily got better through the round, I did make a lot of long putts so they are smooth and consistent speed across course which is good. Maybe rolled a 9 though. Not lightning fast.
The fairways were hard, but generously wide so you can go after it and get some good distance.
I enjoyed the day. Several short holes allowed me to hit fairway wood and long iron. Made 4 birdies, shot 73. Watch out for left bunkers on 10 & 13. They turn birdie into bogey quickly.
I’d go back, maybe when it rains a bit and softens up and goes from brown to green.

Nice Course
The course conditions were a little dry. The tee boxes were particularly parched. The fairways gave lots of rollout. The greens were not overly fast. Some pin placements were a little unfair if you were above the hole.
The layout gives lots of scoring opportunities- short par 4s and more par 5s and 3s than the traditional 2-5-2.

Slow pace
Course sets up nice greens rolling great some pin selection could have been a little more fair not on side hill down hill with no chance to make a putt from anywhere but straight under the hole 10 was ridiculous no way to one putt unless directly under in front under the hole utterly up side hill into a 20 mile an hour wind. Love the course play there all the time and take my punishment with the pin locations. Would recommend to everyone who loves golf to play the course.
