About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Decent track. Kind of a catch 22.
This course is interesting. Huge fairways where even missing 50+ yards left or right generally doesn't mean you're not in play, however the greens with their undulations and speed are very challenging. Only a couple of notable holes for their level of challenge but a fun track nonetheless. Carts could use an upgrade but that's minor. The green speeds and undulations make this desirable to play again.

Good time.
Course is in good shape...Greens were good and rolled nicely. A little on the fast side but not bad. We had a good time and pace of play was good. If your in the area you should check this course out.

Fun, challenging course
Would have rated higher except pro shop staff wouldn't let me check in an hour prior to tee off. For some reason, wanted me to wait until 25 minutes to tee time. Crazy because putting green not accessible until you check in so we sat outside pro shop and waited for no apparent reason. I work at pro shop in upstate NY and we appreciate players coming early and signing in and we call out when they are on the tee.
Like I said in my original comment a friendlier pro shop would help. What is the reason for not allowing a golfer to check in an hour early and going out to the putting green? Having to wait until 25 minutes to tee time is nonsense. Checking in early is a good thing in my experience in working at a pro shop for 30 years in upstate NY.

All about the greens
We continue to play this course as part of our weekly schedule. The price is fair, and great when booking the hot deal. The course itself is on par with the others, but what makes it special are the greens. You have to pay substantially more to get greens like these. The staff is always friendly, and doing their best during these covid times. Keep up the good work!

Not a Bad Course
Played this course for the first time on 12-26-2020. The course was in decent shape. There were several areas that were very wet (low lying areas of the course) but overall the course was in decent shape. I would definitely play the course again if I was in the area.

Super slow pace of play
Playing as a single in the afternoon I expected to wait a bit, which I did in the front 9 and had no issues as we were still moving along at a good pace...And then the back 9 hit. It took over 50 minutes to play 10-12! Absolutely ridiculous, even as a 4some. I left after 12 as I did not want to spend 2 hours finishing the last 6 holes. The course itself is very plain but usually a good round for the price. The tee boxes were super shaggy and thicker thank the rough, not sure why they aren’t cutting the grass on the tee boxes? The cart I got was filthy and had a ton of sand or fort in the compartments, not sure why they aren’t cleaning them, apparently at all, especially considering COVID. Haven’t played here for a while but I’m not planning on returning anytime soon after this experience. On the plus side the bunkers have sand and the greens are in good shape.
