About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6700 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Great layout
Greens fine. Turf fine except low areas still wet. Very playable but not easy.

Rain
I cancelled my t time. It rained on and off all day. I can't believe this course stayed open. I live close to this course and I have played it many times. You will lose your ball in the rough and it will plug everywhere. I can't believe they would take a chance at severe damage to their greens and fairways in such crappy conditions.

Surprisingly nice track
Surprisingly nice track. Played it on a Saturday afternoon and got around a 3 1/2 hours. Course was in surprisingly good shape. Greens were rolling around a nine or 10. But it’s still pretty solid. Would play again

Getting Better
Haven't played here for +/- one year, work is being done on the course, the sand traps are now have sufficient sand, the fairways are in need of TLC but with the excess rain we have received recently it is expected. Overall the golf course is headed in the right direction and we will soon visit here again.

This course has great sand traps
Despite being wet for months in the area, the course is in pretty good condition. The layout is interesting and challenging as is the variety of tee boxes available. The practice facility is excellent and large. The greens are in great shape too. We had a great day today.

Drainage problems
They need to address the drainages in several areas. They can be helped. The course has been somewhat neglected
