The Florida Club

Besides the top dressed greens it was a perfect golf day. The course is in great condition and for the money it’s unbeatable in the area. Pace of play was good with only 18 being cart path only. I highly recommend The Florida Club!

Course is great but after days of rain many holes were still not open to ride carts on. The rough around the cart paths was extremely high because of rain.

By far my favorite course in the area.

Nice friendly efficient staff

Upon arriving, learned the course had been closed for the past week due to heavy rains. This was never mentioned at booking the day prior, no was any discounting being offered. One third of fairways had some areas of 'sloshing' (wet). Layout of course was nice and offered enough challenges to enjoy the round. On a normal day, this would rate an 8 out of 10 for me for enjoyment.

The course layout is very nice and so are the facilities. Sadly, the rain over the last couple days made it cart-path only. Consequently, the rough was about nine inches high and wet. Therefore, looking for a ball wouldn't be a smart thing to do, unless you want to risk getting bit by mosquitos at best and snakes at worse. Price is great, especially if you are from Miami-Broward area, where prices for a round of golf are astronomical. I will definitely play again if I am in the area. Hats off to the staff!

I'm sure for the fairway finders this is a great course.

Me and my buddy played here yesterday. No joke - if you miss a fairway by 5-10 yards, your ball is gone. Taken by the foot tall grass.

Hit some great shots that normally I'd be able to find, but sadly they were lost.

Not sure if this is intentional or not, but it really ruined the play for us.

The overall layout was superb. Unfortunately the amount of rain the course had received led to iffy lies and a lot of mud balls, along width bunkers that had been clearly washed out, and the greens had been punched recently. I think if you catch this club with better conditions you’ll be very impressed.

It is a great course. My husband and I plan to play again.

This course in terms of the layout is outstanding. Somewhat forgiving, but tight in spots. Lots of water and I lost a couple of sleeves. The turf is well kept and the fairways and greens were in great shape.

2 complaints. Their bunkers are not real bunkers and/or the cart path is a part of the bunker. They do not have real sand in their "bunkers" only a sandy, gravelly mix and there are several holes where the cart path and the bunker are one and the same. I did hit most of my shots out of there that landed there, but other times did move as it would have severely messed up the bottom of my club and you are allowed to take relief from the cart path.

The second complaint is their GPS carts and it relates closely to the first complaint. There are parts where the cart path is clearly defined and what counts as a bunker is obvious. Sometimes not so much. However, the stupid GPS cart knows where that imaginary line is and will literally shut off the cart if you stray into a "bunker" or get any closer than 40 yards from the green. It shut off several times and we literally had to push it back to where ever it thought the cart path started. Held up pace of play and a real pain.

The course is maintained in excellent condtion. Cannot be faulted.

We had a quick bite in the clubhouse prior and it was fine. Terrific server was very welcoming and warm.

Great landscaping and some wildlife too.

The course is in great shape! The greens were fast and true!

Had a great time at this course. Staff was friendly and excellent all around. Pace of play was great with a later afternoon tee time. Driving range was closed due to rain the night before, keep that in mind when making your booking. I don't blame the course for that or would count that against them negatively.

I’ve played The Florida Club golf course several times now and the staff are always veryfriendly as well as helpful. A Ranger keeps the pace of play moving which is rare on a public golf course. The clubhouse is beautiful also with beers on draft and the food is excellent. The course itself is in pristine condition and it is well laid out. The golf carts have GPS on them which is an extra perk that useful with distances in the layout. It’s my favorite course to play in South Florida.
