The Florida Club

This course is a regular in my rotation of places I play. Of the public access courses, it is one of the nicer ones. The staff is very friendly. The greens are excellent, and the layout is interesting enough to keep you paying attention. Cart paths could use some work but overall, a very enjoyable experience.

I enjoyed the round an excellent layout . It was slightly too slow a round until the ranger came round and told the groups in front to speed up .

One of the best public golf courses in southeastern FL. Everything about the course is outstanding but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff stands out. We will play here several times during our Jan-Feb stay in Port St. Lucie.

Greens large and fast with movement, challenging layout but good tee options for higher handicap players.

Pleasantly surprised by The Florida Club. Course was in decent condition, great mix of challenging risk/reward holes. Pace of play was decent for in-season, but could’ve been better managed by a ranger. Most of the par 5s were fair and reachable.

Cold and windy day but had a ball and shot 77! Hope to be back in better weather conditions. Course was in great shape.

Great course. Challenging for every level of player

$99 for a round. As a Florida/Martin County resident it is sickening that Florida Club does not give us discounts. Sure there’s an E-Club. We who live here year round have to wait until it is sweltering to pay $65 for a round. That is pathetic. Where’s the locker room? Showers? Cold towel? $12 for a bucket. Cart Beverages? Water coolers that stick so it’s empty. Then there’s the birds that steal your ball & your snacks right out of the cart. No warnings on that. A round a, a beer, & lunch will run you $125 minimum. I didn’t find any gold on the course.

One of the great things with The Florida Club is that they are consistently in good to great shape. Easily one of the best conditioned public access courses in South Florida.

I made a tee time the night prior for a four some. Tons of tee times available. Ended up getting extremely ill. 3 out of the 4 guys made it to the tee time. I, unfortunately stayed in my hotel room to try to break my high fever. Fast forward to today, (2 days after the tee time) the course charged me for a no show. I ring them up, they and explain that it’s part of the online agreement. I understand that but should an exception have been made since I was sick considering 3 of the 4 guys showed up!?!?

They stand firm on their no show policy. Doesn’t matter if you’re sick, if your wife goes into labor or even if you get into a car accident on the way to the course. You’ll be charged a no show.

I completely understand that no show policies protect the golf course but to charge a no show for a single golfer on a 4some reservation that booked. less than 12 hours earlier is sad and desperate. It’s obvious the Florida club is hurting financially and needs to get $ wherever it can. Either way, I will never spend my money here.
