The Florida Club

Overall great time at TFC. For a public course, best greens I have seen on Golf Now in SE Florida. Fairways are mostly decent. Only improvements I would add would be bring out or bring back the beverage cart and purchasing food/beverages at the turn needs to speed up to keep pace of play going. Minor things to make a great day an excellent one!

The course is a GEM! Practice facilities have no rival in Martin County. The Shop staff is polite but not friendly or seem happy to greet customers. The Starter is rude and presumptuous, but appreciates gratuities, as the sign he posts says.

The Greens are PHA Tour worthy and Ave some wicked undulations. The entire course was in ‘mint’ condition. The layout is challenging and scenery is 1st rate.

We were the second group out. We were going at a nice pace of play. We got in 18 for a threesome in 3:20 with a stop at the turn. The first group out was playing speed golf and got a couple of holes ahead of us and because of that fact, the Ranger asked us to pickup our pace. We politely let him know that we would but we were still 2 holes ahead of the group behind us. The only recommendation I would make to the staff is to pay attention to the situation before you tell a group to pick it up. That really came across to me that they were more focused on getting group through than having the players enjoy their facility. Other than that, the staff met us at the bag drop off and was very attentive. The starter was awesome with his before round presentation and friendliness. Very nice practice area at the course. Had a 2 man lesson from Brendan the day before and he was great in pointing out some swing adjustments to work on.

Course conditions were excellent and greens were nice and fast.

Really enjoyed the layout and the conditions were superb. Greens quick and undulating, fairways firm and fast. Staff was fantastic. Only gripe is when someone gives you $10 to wipe down clubs, please wipe down ALL OF THE CLUBS, not three!

We have played this course twice over the past month and it is a fun and challenging round. Everything from the check in to the cart assignment, driving range and staff was excellent.

The only issue was our inability to get anything to eat or drink at the conclusion of our round. There were four of us and we wanted lunch and some beverages. We sat outside where we were told to sit and finally after 20 minutes of complete nothing, we left. Probably just a tough staff day but a sour end to a great round.

We enjoyed our round very much and appreciated the very friendly attitude of the staff as another player that had joined us.

We will return to this course again in the near future.

The pace of play was perfect.

Enough challenge even for very serious golfers.
