The Florida Club

With few good options in the general vicinity of Stuart, this is a great option. Though not long from the back two tees, it’s still requires some accuracy on most of the par 4’s. The green complexes are challenging and the maintenance is outstanding. Well worth the price - and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The golf course is in wonderful condition and many varied holes.

I wanted to like this course but the pushy pace of play and unfriendly starter made it impossible to like the experience. Having never played the course, I was excited to see what the hype was all about. I played on a Wednesday and was paired up with 3 others. My cart mate was super friendly and like me, he played ready golf. The other pair had to be nudged a bit on the meaning of ready golf. We had been warned about pace of play by the starter and kept close track of our time. On the front 9, the ranger came around and told us to pick up the pace even though we had nobody behind us and we were on track to finish in 2 hours which we did. On the back 9, the unfriendly ranger was all over us to pick up our pace of play, again with nobody hitting into us and on pace to finish the round in 4 hours which we did exactly. I have no idea why the ranger was so pushy or unfriendly but I can’t imagine ever going back. I found the entire experience disrespectful of paying guests.

Course was in great condition. Pace was a little slow, but that was just because of the group ahead of us.

This course is always a pleasure to play. Afternoons have between a little slow in the past but we finished in under 4 hours. Condition was excellent.

Overall the course, in mid-March, was in very good condition. The carts were clean, staff was always available to assist. The following are suggested improvements:

- additional sand in bunkers

- ensure the driving range is open for use

- address turf areas were traffic is heavy

All in all, I enjoyed my experience at The Florida Golf Club.

The Florida club is always in good shape even during our drought. Beautiful course that is very enjoayable to play.

Pace of play on front 9 was great. Once we made the turn we waited on every hole. GPS did not allow access on some holes without any explanation (Not counting par 3’s).
