Golfer Reviews
Good Course, mediocre condition!
The Florida club is a nice track, ample driving range and large practice screen. The conditions however, were disappointing. The fairways aren’t in good condition and there are a lot of bare spots. Greens were OK, they were probably rated three weeks ago… I played Abacoa the day before and their conditions were excellent. While playing at the Florida club earlier today, we were talking about the conditions and he said he would rather pay the $35 additional to play a nicer course. On a brighter note, I’ve played the Florida club many times when the conditions were very good!
Good value - Slow Play
This course is a local staple but you can get behind some slow play, "ball droppers" who like to take a milligan on every swing..
Overall, if you don' t easily get mad then this course is for you.
Course still needs more time after recent aerification
Waited about 3 weeks after aerification hoping the greens wouldn’t be sandy etc. Unfortunately, the greens were inconsistently slow, sandy, and soft. Staff wasn’t very friendly and the starter didn’t really seem to know how to pair groups or space out tee times. Lots of back up, waiting, and no sight of a ranger. Great layout and tons of potential once the greens are back.
Golfpass refund and raincheck misleading
Play was halted on 4th hole by lightning and thunder warning from golf course followed by extremely heavy rain due to booking through Golfpass. Florida club would have refunded or provided raincheck if booked directly with the club.
Love this place
Great course great time. Greens were rough today due to aeration but we had been totally warned about that prior to booking. So no big deal. Will be back to normal in a couple weeks
Amazing Spot
What an amazing course. The conditions were spectacular and the layout was super challenging. It was so much fun using every club in my bag and actually thinking about shot placement. Everyone was incredibly nice and starters and Marshalls kept everything moving. Water stations and bathrooms throughout. Just an absolute amazing spot.
FIRST CLASS
The course is in great condition. We played in 4 hours on a windy crowded day. Entire staff made our round more enjoyable. Will definitely play again.
Florida Club
I really enjoyed playing here. Pace of play was great. Overall great experience.
Very nice layout
The golf course is in wonderful condition and many varied holes.
Nice course with bad service
I wanted to like this course but the pushy pace of play and unfriendly starter made it impossible to like the experience. Having never played the course, I was excited to see what the hype was all about. I played on a Wednesday and was paired up with 3 others. My cart mate was super friendly and like me, he played ready golf. The other pair had to be nudged a bit on the meaning of ready golf. We had been warned about pace of play by the starter and kept close track of our time. On the front 9, the ranger came around and told us to pick up the pace even though we had nobody behind us and we were on track to finish in 2 hours which we did. On the back 9, the unfriendly ranger was all over us to pick up our pace of play, again with nobody hitting into us and on pace to finish the round in 4 hours which we did exactly. I have no idea why the ranger was so pushy or unfriendly but I can’t imagine ever going back. I found the entire experience disrespectful of paying guests.
