The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

My dear wife teeing off Photo submitted by strybosch on 02/17/2015
Great day
4hr round. Excellent shape. A little pricey, but all local courses trending that way. Beverage cart would be nice, but not a must have.
Value for money
Good place to lay if you want value for money, staff was very friendly, good fareways to play, green just rolled so a little to fast,
A very good day in Sun City
My friend and I played here yesterday afternoon. We were told to tee off on number 10. After a couple holes, we thought maybe we had teed off on the wrong nine because we had the course to ourselves. We eventually caught up with other groups but we finished the round in exactly 4 hours. In this spring break era of overcrowded courses, this was great.
The course was in very good shape. Due to winds and not much rain, the greens were hard and fast. It was difficult to hold the greens with approach shots. Any putts from above the whole resulted in going past the hole about five feet and a subsequent likely missed comeback putt resulting in more than a couple three putts. However, I don’t blame the course as this is the responsibility of us golfers to adjust to the conditions. The greens were in great shape but just a Littleton fast for my blood. There are many sand traps and I was having one of those “ days at the beach” if you know what I mean. Those traps were well maintained.
We ordered food at the turn. My burger and sweet potato fries were very good. I would come back for the food and the golf!!
Nothing special, but very good condition
The course layout is fine but not great. The scenery is nothing special. But the course was in very good condition, especially the greens. Running fast and true.
Find Day of golf
Came in as a single. Was quickly paired up by the starter. Pace was good and the greens rolled nicely. Enjoyed the experience.
Great Day
Awesome weather. Love this course. It's in Great shape, Pace of play was excellent. Staff was friendly. It was $75 to play which will go down once we get rid of the snow birds and the spring break crowds. And it can't happen soon enough...
In fantastic shape, greens fast, fairways pure.
Really loved it! Worth the hour drive for me, in fantastic shape for the time of the year. And for the standard of the course, $70 in high season for this time bracket is fantastic. Greens fast, snuck up on me. I still managed to grab a couple birdies out there even with my poor play but that back 9 is tight. Love it! I’d put it up there with Waterlefe, which is my fav. Really stellar day, will be out again! Only gripe, Parking…just not good. They make you park miles away, then you aren’t allowed through the front entrance cos it’s “members only”, which results in a walk all the way around the building just to get the pro shop.
Great course
One of the better courses in the area, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
beautiful course
Awesome course. There are only 2 complaints. All the tee boxes had longer grass than normal, not sure why. Also there was no drink cart on the course.
Amazing but no Practice facilities.
I have played courses all over America and this course is in the top 20% I have played. But they have no I repeat NO practice facilities. And I don’t get it. I will play it again but just don’t get it.
Good layout in good shape, but slow going
We played this course yesterday. Is it worth the $65 we paid. Yes and no. Yes, it is a decent course and the greens were in very good condition. Most of the fairways were in good condition, as well as the tee boxes. The main complaint is the pace of play. It took over 3-hours to play the first 10-holes. At that point, we called the pro shop to let them know what was going on time-wise. They were very apologetic, and must of sent someone out to talk to the slow groups ahead, because we ended up finishing in less than 5-hours. Lesson learned...we should have called and complained about the pace a lot earlier because when they were informed, unlike a lot of courses, they actually sent someone out to move things along. We had a great dinner in the clubhouse after play, food was good, beer was cold, and the prices were excellent! Will definitely play here again.
Nice Course
They are a little out of the way, but worth the drive.
The course is well maintained, challenging and fairly priced.
Staff is efficient and friendly.
A definite do-over for us.
