The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Surprising Nice Course
Staff was earn, inviting and accommodating.
Got us off before the large group of locals.
Course was in great shape, but greens a bit slow.
Considering the time of the year, it was above expectations.
Club Renaissance worthwhile
Fun course in very good condition.
Lots of water and sand, and some tight fairways, as well. (I wasn’t a fan of the somewhat heavy, deep sand in the bunkers). Greens were fast and smooth. Although they had some tilt they didn’t have a much undulation. I thought the 121 slope (Blue tees) was a bit understated.
I’d give the course at least a strong 4 out of 5.
Good combination of water and sand traps
Greens are fast and true, over seeding of fairways really brings out the green colors, definitely will be back
Boring, Boring, Boring
Everyone was friendly and the course was in good shape. But the layout is “just your average muni.” Almost no trees, no terrain, nothing notable.....BORING. Play Mangrove Bay instead and save yourself the $$$ and drive time.
Fun day
Course was in excellent shape as usual. A shout-out to the crew there. One of my playing partners hit a pothole on the way to the course and was told when we made the turn between nines that he had a flat tire. The ranger offered to take his keys and watch the car so the road-service could change the tire while we finished the round. I think that is taking the extra step in customer service to make life easier on their clients. I wish I had gotten his name so he could be commended because I wouldn't expect that from most courses.
Nice layout at a good price
Played from the blue tees and found this to be a very playable course
great course
upkeep was perfect well manicured course and friendly staff would play again
Play this one.
Challenging layout...very good conditions considering greens aeration 3 weeks ago....very friendly staff.
Course was just ok . Greens were bumpy and a bit slow . Worst part of the round was being accosted with very vulgar language from a home owner / golf course member who thought we were driving on his grass but we were not . My wife was disgusted and a bit taken aback by his language . Worst experience ever while on vacation . This course is definitely off our list to play and will share this experience with friends and family . Tried to contact the director of golf , Paul but no response yet . Lots of courses out there to play so avoid this one . If you do play watch out for the troll on hole #7 sitting in his back yard waiting for you to stray off the cart path .
Nice well conditioned course
The course was in great shape.Staff extremely friendly. Food service did not answer the phone, had to wait for food. The food was good>
Sunday Funday
Sunday with the boys. Teed off at 11 am. The course was crowded but we encountered no delays. The course was in great shape. Greens were consistent and fair. The front 9 is wide open but the back 9 required lots of good shots. We plan to play here again soon. We had lunch at the Renaissance restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The clubhouse was over the top nice.
Sunday Funday
Course was in great shape. Despite the recent heavy rains only one hole was cart path only. Greens were fast and consistent. No issues with pace of play. It was 94+ but the course had water and ice at various locations. We teed off at 10:15 am and finished at 1:30. We then had lunch at the Renaissance restaurant, Artinis. The place was over the top nice and the food was good and inexpensive. We are definitely coming back.
In terrible condition! Not worth playing
We drove an hour to play a Clublink course because back home they are known for premium courses. Worst Clublink course we have played anywhere! Not worth the drive. No wonder the cheap price. Layout was average but course conditions were terrible - fairway were long and shaggy or burned out and bare in areas, just like the tee decks and the greens were aerated with the large holes, little sand and all kinds of damage on the greens. Not puttable and awful to chip on. A few days ago, we played another course in Port Charlotte that was punched recently too and the couse conditions were good and greens were puttable. Wish we had gone there again instead.
Awesome day
My wife played the best round of golf she’s played in two years...
She putted lights out!
Well done babe!
