About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

First time
Fast greens pitted very true,, but soft enough to hold an iron shot. Really good layout. No two holes were the same. Decently challenging. Really enjoyed the course

Dry and hard pan conditions, no water in 3 weeks
We played a 4 on Friday morning at 11:00 AM. Before I booked I ask for conditions and they said fine. Got there and found the course had no water for 3 weeks and was dry, hard, brown 100%. If we knew this we would have played their sister course, Sandpiper. It is in great shape and the greens are second to none. Played it on Thursday. Normally Club Reno is awesome condition. I think they have the obligation tell us the when conditions are this bad...as does Golf Now.
Hi Paulwilkins. Thanks for taking the time to review our property. I apologize the experience didn't live up to your expectations, nor ours. As you are likely aware, we have gotten very little rain over the last few weeks - and nothing can make the course as lush as we expect as mother nature. We are limited by our water supply, so do need to make decisions on the best strategy until we get some rain. We are in the midst of digging a well to aid in that.
Nonetheless, we appreciate you visited us and your kind words of our sister property, Sandpiper. We hope you'll come back to visit us again as the season proceeds (with more rain, ideally)
Renaissance at Sun City
Very nice facility with good conditions. It has been very dry so you have hard fairways and greens. The water is substantial but has receded in some areas due to drought but still the challenges are there. The course layout is very interesting. The greens being hard were also very quick.

Fair
Fair course. No driving range and needs a lot more water. Everything except the greens looks dead. Not the best bang for your buck.
I appreciate you taking the time to review. The lack of recent rain has certainly been a challenge to keep everything lush, we continue to water daily. However, nothing keeps up that look quite like mother nature. We hope you'll give us another chance in the coming weeks. Don't hesitate to reach out if we could have done anything else to aid with your experience.

Disapointing
I hate being negative because it hurts peop,e but the truth can be painful old course that is showing the current trend of lack of care no range does not allow one to start w a good first impression met old time member said course has gone down hill over last 5/6 years. Course conditions similar to some public tracks. Nice pro shop and people inside friendly. Course layout very interesting especially back nine. Probably would not consider a return trip.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but we are closing down for 8 weeks this summer for a restoration project to get our facility back to the level our members and public want to see. I hope you will give us another shot in the Fall to see our upgrades!

slow play
course was in good shape but pace of play was slow. a very slow twosome stopped after nine and pace improved but still had to wait for every shot.

Valentines Day Run
The staff was very helpful and when our cart ran low on power at the 9th, I think Randy( not sure if his name is correct) but he went and got us a new cart and swapped them out while we finished 9. Outstanding service and our round only took 3 hours.
Typical Resort Course
Slow greens, average layout in reasonable condition. Nothing really to dislike but nothing memorable either. Eminently forgettable.
Except for the swiss cheese
Course overall is great shape, many greens in fine shape, some greens look as if they couldn't decide on a hole placement, and any putt was over many hole cuts.
No range and dried out course
very disappointing. Conditions not good. Everything dried out and most greens looked brown. No range although it appears on GolfNow. Range is at sister course sandpiper a mile away.
Great golf, would return
This is a beautiful course! Very challenging. Wonderful condition.
Major gaffe by female ranger
Great course good value for all levels of skill. We played on a day with an ominous weather forecast which kept the player volume down. The starter was friendly and asked us if we minded if a single play with us . We agreed . As the single had loaded his clubs the starter told us to use 3 carts. On the 18th hole a very aggressive female ranger accused the single of playing an extra round. She said they never allow 3 carts and he needed to pay. We were flabbergasted. Not a way to insult customers!!!!
