The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

Excellent course
This course is one of the best in the area. Would recommend to anyone. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is great.
Club r
Can't wait to play again. Friendly members and staff. Rained during the round and the course drained beautifully.
Always a pleasure!
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this course. I have played it quite a few times, and I have never been disappointed. Play this course!
great time at Club Renaissance
play with 3 others the course was outstanding will be going back
Bryan
This is one of the best values out there for Tampa golfers. Only 35 min from South Tampa (surprisingly) so it's one of the closest courses around and so much better than other courses in the same price range (ie: Northdale, Rocky Point, Mangrove Bay, etc..) The best part is, it's usually wide open because the old timers golf so early due to the heat of the afternoon. It's decently challenging and the greens are always in great shape. Highly recommend this "hidden gem" especially for south Tampa golfers who aren't members at Palma Ceia and are tired of the crowds at Mangrove Bay and Northdale.
Great course for your money!
Beautiful course; greens were excellent, no issues whatsoever playing here!
Great deal
This course is in very good condition with a nice layout and a VERY NICE staff. Friendly, make you feel welcome and when you leave you think to yourself "I can't believe what a deal this was"
Fairways and greens in excellent condition
Great course. Back 9 requires more finesse to play. Fairways much more forgiving on front side.
Excellent Course
The course was in excellent shape. Fariways were immaculate. Green were a little fast, but were in decent condition
Always a treat!!!
Played in the weekly Wednesday shotgun start. As always the rangers and starters were very welcoming and friendly. Smoothly run operation especially when you consider the number of people who are normally there. The ranger even came out and told us that we could play 5 - 9 again when we came back around rather than quitting at 5 after 18 so the price was "right" and we got to play an additional 5 holes of golf. Course was in great condition....
Great Course challenging
This is one of my favorite courses to play when coming to Florida. People are friendly & accommodating. Able to play course about 7 times a year & always enjoy each round.
Nice Course
Played on a Thursday at a very good rate. Tee boxes and fairways were lush and manicured. Greens were smooth and holding and fairly quick. We did not see another golfer all day and this course drains well as the previous day and early that morning was heavy rain. renaissance has 2 ice machines with water and large cups available during the round, this is an awesome amenity that more courses should add. There are a lot of strategically placed bunkers and the greens are very large. Put this course on your list and you will not be disappointed.
Great course
Renaissance has always been one of my favorite, from the very beginning however, you do need lots of bug spray.
Great course but Ranger missing
I enjoy the layout of the course and make the drive because of that and what is normally a great pace of play. Not sure what happened this week. There was a foursome that held up 3 groups behind them and the Ranger went by and nothing changed. At one time there were two groups waiting to tee off behind that one group and the third one on the green behind us. Frustrating day of hit a shot and wait.
consistently enjoyable
Like being greeted by a Maitre d , I've always enjoyed the atmosphere the staff exudes. Very congenial. The greens were true and a good putter will be rewarded. Each hole challenges the player with variety. No boring repetition. Greens and surrounding areas are very roomy. Fairways and tees require enough challenge to keep it interesting throughout the 18 holes. One of the courses worth keeping on your regular list.
Great course no more
The layout is great-many challenges to overcome. Plenty of water to worry about. Some wide fairways but you must be careful where you land your ball. Bunkers and lakes are placed where my ball wanted to go!
The fairways are not lush like they were in the past. They are working on the tee boxes but they still need more grass. The greens were fast and true,But had many weeds through out.
We have played this course several times in the past and have always looked forward to coming back. The layout is challenging, but fun and fair. Unless there is improvements made to the course,we will look at other courses to pLay . We were told that the course will be closed on June 26-27 for repairs.
Because we have enjoyed playing this course , we can only hope that the repairs will be done soon .
An open course that appears more difficult than it plays.
On paper and when viewing holes, there is lots of water and some sand. In general, the water is not in play unless a very wayward shot is hit or the shot is just chunked. No tight forced carries. Fairway bunkers in general are at the widest portions of the fairways.
Overall, a wide course on the par 4's and 5's. Small greens in comparison to other courses in the area. Very flat course overall.
Fairways in very good condition, and greens nearly so....could be a little faster.
Provides machines for ice and water at the pro shop and on each nine....thank you.
worst condition I've seen it
this was the first time I had played this course in about 6 months. this course used to be one of the nicest manicured courses in the area but a lot has changed in little time the tee boxes were a mess the greens were a mess the fairways are completely dried out. This course went to being a great value for 35$ to a ten dollar course over night. they are just letting this course go
Nice Course
I always enjoy playing this course. They keep it in great shape. The staff is very nice and the rangers actually interact with the players. I always play it when I can find a good deal :-)
Great course
This course reminds me of the Venetian. Wonderful courses, both!!
