The Club Renaissance
About
The beautifully manicured, par-72 Renaissance Golf Course features two distinctive nines. The front nine has an open links feel to it with wide fairways and greens that will accept bump-and-run approach shots. The back nine requires more accuracy from tee to green as it meanders through a large conservation area. Water comes into play on every hole on the inward nine on this course designed by Chip Powell. Most fairways are lined with stately pines and ancient oaks. The greens at the Renaissance Golf Club are a pleasure to putt. These TifEagle Bermuda grass putting surfaces are state-of-the-art and roll fast.

My dear wife teeing off Photo submitted by strybosch on 02/17/2015
was in great shape, loved the speed of the greens not slow at all.
The course was challenging some holes the homes were to close other than that I enjoyed my round of golf, will play it again soon.
Great condition
Value was excellent especially given I obtained a favorable price through Golf Now. Easily the nicest course (best fairways) of all I've played in the Ruskin, Brandon, Tampa, as well as several in the St. Pete
area. To boot, a bonus, as it's the only course (that I've played) that has a ball washer on every hole something most courses in Florida are lacking.
Great course
I play this course every time I visit Sun City. A beautiful clubhouse and the course has a nice layout. Conditions are always great in the winter months. I have never played here during the summer. Club Link has acquired the courses around Sun City Center with Sceptor being up to par as a Club Link course however Falcon Watch with it's 3 sets of 9 leave a lot to be desired. A lot of weeds have taken over the course. It has a great shorter type layout but the condition of the course is horrible. I have yet to play Sandpiper though I understand it to be similar to Falcon Watch.
Nice & Challenging!
The course was in great shape and the greens were rolling well. We played in the morning after bad weather the night before and a little rain during our round. The course held up well and we'll be back again. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Very nice course
This course was in excellent shape, great price, $40 GolfNow. Staff were very friendly. Course was was in a senior's community, all seniors on the course with their own personalized carts. They let me out early as a single. Pace of play was excellent, considering I was following a league. The group in front got behind in play but let me play through, which was really nice even though I was playing two balls and wasn't really looking to pass them. Front nine fairways were wide and generous, back nine were more tree lined. Greens were quick and in very good shape. If you're in the area, play this course, you will not be disappointed.
Not bad
Decent track. More generous than it looks off the tee. Couple quirky holes. Cart staff very friendly and helpful. Greens a little slow but healthy. Should be primo next month. well worth a hot deal rate, not sure about full price.
not a bad track for the money
Pretty nice track, made for a senior living community and is set up that way. People were friendly and the course was in decent shape. I liked the layout, from all the way back it is a good challenge, plus it was pretty windy which added to the level of difficulty. It is a $40.00 track for the area and I think I paid like $30 so it was a nice experience.
Fun course
Great course
Not so hard that you are frustrated every hole
Great value
Considering all the run we had recently, the over-all course is in very good condition. The greens we irrated somewhat recently and that is never a fun condition. Other than the greens, the fairways were very nice and the price was very reasonable.
It's one of the nicer tracks in this area.
Cheers,
Ray
Very interesting course
Greens had recently been punched and were slow. Overall a very nice course I would play again . Hopefully the greens will be healed by then.
The course is challenging
Even with all the rain the past 2 weeks, the course was in really good shape.
Short course
If you're looking for a lengthy challenge, go further south to Sarasota national. This course is fun and scorer friendly. Greens had been punched and appeared to be about 75% healed. Were bumpy and very slow. Fairways were nice, as well as tee boxes. Course must drain well, as a lot of rain had been dumped in the last few days. Bunkers were not drug and were hard. After hitting out of one early in round, and it was like hitting off of concrete, the rest of the round, raked whenever in trap to have a conducive lie. Probably will not return, but do think it was a fun course. Hard to beat for 14 dollars on a hot deal...
All Good
Played from the Whites and enjoyed it.... (16 handicap)....about 5600. 6700 from tips. Course in better shape than most, with friendly staff. Greens recently aerated so should be perfect in a month or so.
Give this one a try....you won't be disappointed.
Good course
This is a good course, but greens were under repair and being sanded. Golf carts miss GPS/distance !!
We had a nice take a way burger, very good !!
Normally greens are ok but a bit slow so next time we hope for improvement .
Fantastic course
This course is just as good as it sounds from the other reviews on here... I've probably played 30 or 40 courses in the Bay Area, and I think I'd put this place second only to World Woods among those I've been fortunate enough to play.
Fairways are greens were very close to perfect, very little in native grasses sneaking in, and the greens rolled so true. We were amazed at how much better we putted here than most other places... putts just rolled very true. Bunkers very well maintained. Six sets of tees really give you lots of options and offer a fair test to all skill levels. Unfortunately, I can only speak for the front 9 since we were rained out at the turn, but the 9 we played were excellent. It's a bit of a trek down there, but it's worth it. And one more thing... I know this course isn't as heavily played as many others, but it seemed like those who play the course care about it as much as the staff, as most ball marks and divots were properly replaced and filled. Pride in the course was evident.
Nice Course
Course is in great shape. Greens nice 10 on the stimp and smooth. Nice fairways and bunkers. Play late for open course.
Great course.
Looking forward to playing the course again very soon.
Great Value for a well manicured course.
The course was in great shape. The greens except for maybe one or two of them were awesome. Conditions couldn't have been much better unless you want to she'll out 50-75. We've had little rain the past three weeks and it's been hot so kudos to the grounds crew. I played on a Thursday morning as a single. So I cruised through the course. I'm guessing on the weekends it would be slow giving that it's mostly retireed people in the surrounding communities. None the less I recommend you playing it at least once. Can't beat it for the price.
Course in great shape
Shotgun start, paired up with another twosome. Group of 3 started early behind us and was on our tail the whole round. Course was in excellent shape. Good value for the money.
